Is that not because that is the content you interact with (argumentatively, likely, but still) or hover over longer with their eye movement sensors, or all the other ways they track you, and so they think "ahh he 'likes' (hate engages with) this content so send more!" in a loop to keep you engaged and keep making money for them through advertisements?
Like, if you ignored that shit (and iirc there's often a way to "reset" your algorithm in some settings, after all, they want the data they sell to be accurate, it's more valuable to sell...) and started only liking/lingering on family shit and cats (how can you ignore the kitties after all), they'd send primarily that, yes?
I could be wrong about that, this is my understanding as an outsider, but I'm curious. At the end of the day I'll forever advocate for the end of such algorithmic practices entirely long term, and the end of one's individual involvement with it in the present moment: "Bruh get off that shit it is rotting your brain. Those examples are a bit different in scale. Mk ultra only involved a couple hundred researches/agents. It also didn't kill thousands of people and was first brought to public light in 1974, just a couple years after the program ended.
You (should) get my point though, regardless of if deaths or coconspirators match up 1:1, things do happen that are orchestrated by multiple people that you and I do not know about, to believe otherwise is arrogant.

As far as Ufo disclosure, I'm not really sure if that really fits into the scheme of large conspiracy. The leaks have mainly been utilized as a political tool to divert eyes from the administration, and have largely been uneventful.

Totally possible. There've been things of that magnitude that were hidden for decades that finally did get whistle blown, it's entirely possible (I mean it's almost impossible that there wouldn't be) other things that never did get whistle blown (at least yet.)
Just look at some of the large scale operations we have come to learn about (be they leaked or later declassified), MK Ultra, MK Naomi, Operation Paperclip, Project PRISM, now they're doing UFO disclosure so apparently that's been real in some capacity and been covered up since like 1947, that recent Mossad deal with the pagers, pretty sure Epstein was a Mossad honeypot (but that one "isn't proven yet.")
"Well we know about those now" yeah and we didn't for years before we did, it's more likely than not that "now" is the "before we knew" years for something large and conspiratorially organized (not necessarily 9/11). To say otherwise is to assume we know everything the various agencies (CIA, FBI, Mossad) are doing, which is patently ridiculous to assume.
Furthermore I think it'd take less people "in the know" than you may think. Those agencies (namely CIA) work because of compartmentalization, the agent knows his part and any info needed to make that happen, and that's it. The next agent in the chain knows his part and nothing more, and so on. In the end there may be only a couple people who actually know the entire picture. Also "we'll fucking kill you and frame you for CP and destroy your entire family" will do wonders for a motherfucker's will to speak up, and I don't think a little murder here or there "in the interest of national security" has ever stopped the CIA before. I don't think they're stopping at "but you signed an NDA" for something as big as like Operation Northwoods.

But here's the thing, unless she can read your mind, she's uncomfortable already just by you being there (according to women, they're constantly scared and suspicious of men's motives). Well I can guess what your love language is not. I'm a (receiving) physical touch and quality time man myself so I get it, but people have ways they both show and receive love, and finding a compatible partner is not a bad idea. Sounds like his "giving" language is gifts, who knows what his "receiving" is, and who knows either of hers (no clues I noticed anyway), if hers is "receiving gifts" they're in business it sounds like. Just because one isn't important to you however doesn't mean it's less valid to anyone else.

I was more referring to this (and expanding it a bit because it's not just sex, but also murder and misogyny). The slight possible benefit of "she appreciates it" just doesn't outweigh the bad. Sure there's a difference between holding the door and paying for something cheap like that and further to something expensive, but on average a woman who is at friend level 0 I wouldn't hold the door, a random guy at friend level 0 I probably would, neither get a movie ticket. And a guy at friend level idk 3, I might cover on the ticket but he's for sure on his own for snacks, a woman at friend level 3 I'm holding that door, but she's covering her ticket and food, and so on.
Like for example, a good friend of mine who is a woman, today she asked for my help on something: No problem! Of course, I watched her struggle with it for a bit before she asked and wasn't going to offer help though she clearly needed it, lest she think I think she's incapable. Real double edged sword of rudeness. Had she been our male coworker/friend, I'd have hit him with "struggling huh? Let me help lol" for what is clearly a two person job anyway, but no way I'm gonna offer to help her before she asks and double no way I'm lightly ribbing her like I would my male friend.

This is why I don't really do anything nice for anybody anymore (beyond established platonic friends), especially women.
Dudes know I don't want to fuck them and just want to be friends (or acquaintances or whatever), so with them I can just be a normal human. I can hold the door to the gas station for some random plumber behind me, I can pay for my homie's taco today and he'll probably get me next week, it'll come back around.
But if I open a door for a woman whether I'm interested or not, pay for her anything, or talk to her, I have to be worried about her now either A) she thinks I'm a creep for trying to form a basic human connection to fill a basic human need that most people beyond aro and aces need [whether or not I actually am committing the mortal sin of carnal optimism or not], or B) she thinks Ted Bundy's ghost is possessing my body and I must be hiding a tire iron in my sleeve, or C) She thinks I think she's physically incapable of opening the door because she assumes I think women are inferior. It feels like I'm walking on eggshells 24/7 trying not to do something that seems innocuous to me but is a grave insult or threat when divorced from the context of "I would have held the door for a guy too."
Exception: Old ladies. They're cool, usually. They don't mind general niceties or conversation and don't immediately suspect me of murders untold. I'm also kind of an old lady at heart which probably helps, "give me your gardening tips, Doris! Say, do you like The Golden Girls?"

That said this seems like a pretty low stakes trial which is why I'm looking at it first. Worst case a reboot (or recovery through live booting) should fix most issues, I think, if I understand correctly. I don't plan to autostart the docker container so if it fucks my system up a reboot should put me back to normal if starting it breaks my sys right?
I do have some old laptops and an unopened router waiting for me to figure out openWRT. I could install some linux OS (deb?) on one of those and use that for docker, get off my ass and install openWRT on the router, and then use that to connect both devices (and I'd have to figure out which to hotspot but that is easy), if that'd be significantly safer for my daily driver. Then I'd have to figure out how to point my browser to that too though.
Idk, I don't use any of them, but I've definitely heard people say facebook is for the olds. I thought the kids had all moved to TikTok tbh.
