    I don't see how the Presidential immunity ruling is relevant to Trump's current actions. So what if something Trump does is not a core executive function? The idea that Trump could face criminal charges right now, as the sitting President, seems far-fetched. It's especially far-fetched for these examples, which he doesn't need immunity for because they're not crimes.

  • Coconuts have evolved to spread from island to island by floating, but it's still weird that one happened to float to the other side of the world in historic times. I would have guessed that either the currents could never take a coconut there or that the currents would have taken a coconut there long ago.

    (When I visit Florida, I see coconuts float by sometimes. Some have been in the water a long time - they're covered in barnacles. However, if they're still floating does that mean they might still be viable?)

    Replaced in what context? My understanding is that OpenTable still works just fine but Google is, on its end, no longer automatically referring its own users to OpenTable. I wouldn't call that "hijacking" unless the restaurant had a prior agreement with Google.

    My well water had arsenic in it and I installed a filter only on the cold water line to the kitchen sink. I only drank that water and unfiltered water was fine for everything else. Something like that could be much cheaper for OP.

  • Maybe it varies by industry. I'm a software developer and even as an employee, I'm expected (but not formally required) to learn about advances in the relevant technologies, programming languages, etc. on my own time. If I didn't and I was fired because my skills weren't what the company needed anymore then I would get unemployment benefits, but I don't see how either wage theft or improper dismissal could occur unless the company did something really weird.
