I'm all for an AI tax to offset the jobs replaced, with that tax going towards providing a universal basic income to those displaced workers, for life. Maybe then AI will actually be useful for something.
I work as a slot technician. One of our jobs is moving slot machines with hand trucks. When setting them down, one typically counterbalances the weight of the machine with their body. I wanna get catapulted across the casino floor, fly through the air while screaming like Goofy, and hit the wall leaving a silhouette-shaped hole.
Thankfully, the only injury I should sustain is little coins going around my head.
I got banned from r/politics for replying to someone saying that Eric Swallwell should be hung. Apparently, saying something around the lines of "anybody with balls of steel must also be hung" was "inciting violence".
Meanwhile, the guy actually saying he should actually be murdered wasn't seen a problem.
Imagine being investigated for sedition because you had the "audacity" to reiterate day 1 lessons from boot camp just in case any service members forgot...
And blew a hole in the wall.
