  • When you were living with your parents, how often would they go through your personal space? (aka; enter your room, search your drawers, your backpack, your electronic devices, etc...) Is this normal?

  • Yeah, they went into my room to look through stuff. My dad never let me have my own device, he had a keylogger and camera pointed at the desktop computer I was allowed to use. He had online blockers for porn and regularly looked through my phone and photos and I wasn't allowed to have my phone at night or my iPad. It's not normal and I've started working on it in therapy.

  • I said that the same people were bad as this other commenter but I mentioned that maybe instead of hating them, like the bad people do to us, we might want to approach the situation with a little more nuance and uphold empathic viewpoints for everyone not just people who agree with what we agree with and they told me the bad people shouldn't get any sort of empathy because they do bad things.

  • Oh this is what my friend does. He talked about this during a party this weekend. He only delivers to my city for CSA items but does participates in the farmer's market in the town he grows in

  • I can't see their comment but everyone should get some exercise in their day. I take a bus in my town which I acknowledge isn't available to 90% of rural communities but getting out, even in the winter, and walking is good for you. I usually bike in the warmer months, again not always the best option in single family communities. Don't blame me for Big Oil robbing you of fundamental ease of transportation

  • Or don't. I stopped talking to friends and strangers after learning abt time complexity and binary search. My tism really went for brevity over long conversations, if I didn't have anything nuanced to say about a topic I would shut up and listen to other people talk (which is boring and uninteresting after a while). I really thought if my life wasn't perfectly sorted that I was committing a crime against my friends and myself. Turns out people want to hear what I thought about and I shouldn't be aloof.

  • It has been rotting, I frequently used the APIs to remix into different apps, pulling posts and comments off LinkedIn for her to review and compile strategies based off of popular posts and users. She wanted some of that code so I forwarded my scripts to her to make use of. She isn't selling my scripts but she then used them for herself. I tried to sell this idea of integrating LinkedIn Leads to one of our partners who is also a budding start up and set up a meeting. Then I told her because I was proud of my work and she bashed my idea and the direction I was taking claiming I stole LeadFetch from her.
