  • I have a rice cooker and they're kinda overrated. Do I use it? Yes, but you can always boil water and make rice that way, or even microwaving rice with water can cook it.

    Also rotisserie chicken lasts a long time when you break it apart, shred it and freeze it for future recipes. I love to make this Southwest Chicken Skillet from Budget Bytes. Its so filling and the family loves it, I add in sour cream and stir it in at the end.

  • I agree it took many months to figure out my arr stack and the configuration with API keys and server ip addresses. I used countless resources and guides and it didn't help. Now I can do a fresh install of jellyfin and the arr stack in less than an hour after finally figuring it out but wow was it a hard learning curve. I have paper notes trying to decode which tools does what I was so confused

  • As someone who did drop out at 20, freshman year, the job market sucks and the degree you hold does have value. I'm 26 and almost completely given up on finding a job in the field I want to work in, Software Development. AI and the tech boom have really stalled my advances. I took some community college courses but still employers are looking for a bachelor's degree or higher. I have tons of experience coding but that never translates to a job

  • My automatic cat feeder was cheap and runs a few seconds earlier everyday. It's now a full hour and half ahead of schedule (I never updated it for daylight savings time, I figured by the time the hours are set back I can tune the clock back to the right time)

  • When I saw in first grade I was held back for pronunciation problems and in my second time through Math at a 1st grade level I completed a lot of the homework because I remembered math pretty well. My teacher caught me doing this in class and she started flipping through the pages, I had finished about 15 pages of upcoming hw. I got written up and my parents had to come in, I don't remember a detention because it was 1st grade but it could have happened.

    In third grade I was at recess playing with a friend and I lightly tapped him, like a friend tap, on his cheekbones. I remember it being in jest and good faith. He then reported me to the teacher and then the principal. I received a detention for playing with my friend by my friend.

    I usually just received detentions for regular things like not doing homework. I guess I was jaded because i got detention for just existing.
