    That debate coverage still pisses me off. Biden had just come back from a whirlwind international tour and was jetlagged and sick, attending a debate at like 10pm at night.. and media managed to induce some kind of mass hallucination that biden was a decrepit old man who had no command of his faculties like some kind of dementia patient walking around with pants full of shit.

    Social media played a heavy hand in artificially inflating trump with its complete and blatant refusal step in and curtail any of the deluge of manufactured bullshit, fake AI controlled accounts, troll farm posts, blatant misinformation, etc, etc, etc.

    broadcast media as well, for being so thirsty for ratings and another trump presidency they basically sanewashed every thing he did, when they could bother reporting on it at all, because they knew if he got elected it'd be 4 more years of people desperately turning in every day to see what fresh horrors trump was unleashing, which would drive ratings and revenues to the stratosphere.

    5 bucks says Mexico and Canada's stadiums are full, while Americas stadiums are maybe..lets be generous and say 1/3rd full, and I'd wager most of that would be from super low cost tickets in desperation to get people in the seats so it doesnt look completely empty during broadcast.

    No search engines, Had to find websites on the internet yellow pages, via a web ring, or because someone gave you a slip of paper with an address, that was always written out to include the http://.. and visitor counters and guest books.. people always filled out the guest book, and it wasnt spam, viruses, or bullshit. actual, legitimate comments from the majority of visitors.

  • I used to live in a heavily Hispanic area, and I can tell you there absolutely will be nothing learned from any of it.

    Cause any Republican attacks against Hispanics were always hand-waved away with some variant of "Of course, they're talking about (insert Hispanic group the speaker hates), not about the good ones like (insert Hispanic group the speaker belongs to). If it wasnt for (hated group) fucking it all up things would be better for all of us!"

    Republicans don't make such distinctions, to Republicans all Hispanics are just Mexicans.
