6 years ago I posted on FB that any qualms over mail-in ballots should have already been raised and in the process of being addressed ahead of the 2020 election. A large portion of my friends and family were MAGA, or at least dem-hating, so they inundated me with conspiracy theory rubbish.
I knew he would pull some shit, somehow. Then J6 came to pass.
So now he's blatantly planning to fuck with the election 8 months ahead of time. Nothing has changed in terms of protecting voters, and it's as predictable now as it was in 2020.
But I think the fucker underestimates us and his base on this. As serious as 2A advocates are about guns, there are more of us by orders of magnitude who value our voting rights.

I'm an American who lived in England for a couple years. It doesn't take long to wrap your head around sticking to the left side of the road.
I drove both left- and right-hand drive vehicles there, mostly manual shift. That all came pretty easy.
The biggest challenge I faced was the narrow roads. The American mind struggles with driving so close to other cars, particularly on undivided roads. It always feels like a sideswipe is coming (particularly when you're a passenger) until you get used to it.
So now, years later and back in the US, I'm still comfortable driving in close quarters with other vehicles. I get criticized by passengers sometimes. I don't ride close intentionally, but I have to be mindful of it for others' sake.
We can ostracize people who finally come to their senses, or we can encourage them. To get rid of all this cruelty and chaos many more will have to flip.
I think we've all thought certain lines were crossed previously, that the lies were so blatant on x occasion, that enough minds would be changed to finally get rid of him. Each time it amounted to nothing.
I was naive enough to think J6 would stoke something in a lot of 'patriots' who claim to love the country above all else. Instead he won in 2024 easily...he actually gained support after trying to steal the presidency.
All of this has sapped any hope I had of his supporters abandoning him. I've come to see these are not logical people with similar ideals but different values than me. They just vote against what they fear, they vote for certain people to get hurt, and they love being followers. Such is his grip, and I'd be surprised if even the 2A being undermined by the administration can move the needle to a sufficient degree with enough people to make any difference in November.
That said I would love to be pleasantly surprised. I hope you're right, truly.

That month I left active duty military after 11 years, moved my family, and got licensed in my home state to do my job. I had prepared quite a bit and had family help, but it was still a rough life transition for all of us.
By that spring when everything started to settle down and go a bit smoother, the housing crisis set in. Everything got more expensive quickly. I remember worrying I wouldn't be able to afford fuel for my long commute. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to support my family.
