  • I'm hoping the BigScreen install would be better as a settopbox, but I wanted a portable PC lol

It was smooth enough, just slow. A bit expected for how intensive lmde is, but I really wanted it to work with that. Maybe I'm judging too harshly

  • It came with windows 10, and claimed to be upgradeable to 11 (it wasn't). I used it with lmde, though, so the upgrade lie, while was a shite thing to do, didn't really affect me.

  • I have one of these, and it sucks as a portable PC. As a jellyfish client, it might do fine. One thing you should know, while the power is USBC, it only works with its own usbc, and that adapter is 24v.

  • After my skirt with death because of this thing, it's a 'no sale' feature.

  • "Safety tech". OK. I was visiting a mate in the states, and the rental gave me a Nissan. Apparently, there's a lot of construction going on in that state, and the Nissan tried to literally run me, at 100kmh, into a median, because it recognized the (clearly) scratched off lane markers and not the (clearly) newly painted lane markers. I had to use nearly all my upper body strength (whatever little of it I had left after a 13hr trip), to force the wheel to the left and away from death. And that fucker bitched at me the entire time! would have 100% died. All because of their fucking "safety" tech. I turned that shit off as soon as I parked. All of it. I'm still so angry at them for that shit.

  • I've had a bit of a tumble.

Four! I mean... Five! I mean... Fire!!

  • Well that's easy to remember!

    The fuck?!

  • Your whole attitude on this post is absolutely hilarious!

  • Lol! Did you just answer like an AI? Classic!

  • Or the 2004 scifi thriller Final Cut. Great movie.

  • Not sure I'd really call that hacking, when the watch is purposes-built for this. It's like saying "I broke into my house by copying my key, then using that key to unlock the door".

And, it's "totally fine" for it to take 2 seconds to swipe? What are you on about??

  • It won't matter, Vader. You still won't find Obi Wan.

  • So, Purge. But for Flock. I'm down.

  • This is the type of story that fills me with a little hope

  • I see talk about uXDT on here and no reading material, so here's an article that talks about it and provides ways to help mitigate.

  • 12% risk to "increases by a whopping 47%" means 12×1.47=18 (rounded).

Did you mean that it increases from 12% risk to 47% risk? They're both interesting and statistically significant, but one definitely has more shock factor.

  • by a whopping 47%

    So, from 12% to 18%...

  • Heart Aerospace is claiming that the hybrid-electric ES-30 could reduce airline costs of operating regional aircraft by more than 40 percent.

How much you want to bet that this 40% savings will never make it to the customers' pockets?

  • Ah, yes. Very good point. Very good point.
