Definitely. Back when I used FB and Twitter I learned that reporting is entirely useless. You just end up with some automated message about how they reviewed it and it "didn't violate their community standards" with some lame verbiage like "we realize this isn't the outcome you were looking for", regardless of how ridiculously blatant whatever you reported was. On the flip side, I was banned for clearly misinterpreted or brigaded comments, and then an appeal just gives you the inverse where they reviewed it and whatever you posted was definitely terrible and they "realize this isn't the outcome you were looking for".
As far as transactions, yes, something like Visa takes way less than Bitcoin. For HFT compared to crypto, who knows, but one thing they’re not doing is something intentionally wasteful like proof of work.

Like when we hear “this planet has a methane atmosphere” it’s like holy cow, sounds rough, but alien entities would possibly think the same thing about our planet of water and nitrogen. Pretty decent thing to do. When I was a website developer, around 2012 I dealt with a mentally unstable friend/client who one day started seeing porn ads on a blog that he asked me to fix up on behalf of someone else. He freaked out "NICK CAN'T SEE THAT, OMG". I looked at the site on 4 different devices from 3 IP addresses and didn't see what he was talking about. Since it was my job to figure this out, I asked some people we knew on a forum "will you please look at this site and let me know if you see any porn ads?" 25 people responded that no, they did not. Okay. So I told him, hey, I had everyone on our forum check it out and it's fine, so it has to be a virus on your computer or something. He got super angry and told me it was VERY embarrassing to him that I did that (like, wtf was I supposed to do?). Eventually someone figured out he had a hacked router.
Same on Twitter. Back pre-Elron I was suspended for the stupidest crap: I said I thought Trump would be too old to run for office next year, as he lived an unhealthy lifestyle. That was "wishing harm or violence", like, what? I didn't voice an opinion about whether I was all happy about that or something, just simply made that statement. Then someone was joking about the Will Smith thing and something about Kid Rock and I said Hillary Clinton should be the one to slap Kid Rock. That was also horribly violent of me. I appealed and they said NO, YOu are VERY BAD, SORRY. What a waste of time. It's offensive, too. Meanwhile I've reported things like people saying vile racist insults and literally saying they want someone to die, and I get the reply that sorry, they reviewed it and the comment was fine. I'm sure the process is even worse now.
