  • They have a long way to go, it's not just AWS, they also use Google Workspace and Github.

  • Let's say I'm not interested in side-scrollers, that's already removing at least 50% of all indie games for me. Throw in games with pixel looks and we're down to maybe 10%.

  • One of the conlangs I’m occasionally working on has pronouns based on the shortened form of names: the first syllable of the person’s name plus a suffix.

You can see something like this in German sometimes. We usually don't publish full names for criminals or victims of crimes, you often only get the first name plus first letter of the last name like Zaphod B., in the following text the person is then referred to as B.

  • Yeah, it's a marketing thing. You see someone with some fancy fitness tracker and get one too, all your friends use Strava, so you use it too and maybe even pay for premium and so on.

  • So floofy the jpeg compression can't keep up with it.

  • I mean boomers love minions, so this isn't that surprising.

  • We've all gotten used to annoying flatmates.

  • Ey! It's me.

  • Martin Landau and Barbara Bain in Space: 1999, the show that answers the question what happens if you make a show almost entirely out of the weird episodes from Star Trek TOS.

  • I'm not even sure Blake counts as a captain.

  • For Strange New Worlds we almost got that, short seasons, but it looks like they only skipped 2024 and were on a very consistent schedule so far. The cancellation/ending of the show was announced last year for I assume next year.

  • And apparently they still lost against England playing in Mexico City.

  • It's absolutely worthless if nobody comments and the reposting communities are deader than dead as far as I can tell.

  • No, two Chaebols and an US American company.

  • The "West" you're talking about is two South Korean companies and one US American company that mostly manufactures in Asia.
