  • Can I get a full list of features on the Iran war after all these cryptic posts?

  • They are there to harass and terrorize anyone who doesn’t seem white, and to normalize a military presence in American cities for the midterms and for the next presidential election, if we make it until then with an electoral process.

  • That’s really odd, the site was serving me a different link. Looks like OP fixed it now.

  • Jesus Christ, he speaks like a toddler…

  • Do you have a source for that quote? I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the article or links within. That sounds… extremely significant.

  • The crazy thing is that there is ZERO consideration of the optics here. This abject hypocrisy is transparent to Trump. Of course he can vote by mail, it’s only cheating if people don’t vote for him.

Trumps extreme narcissism prevents him from even realizing that this is problematic. To him, there’s no issue.

  • I’m quoting Wikipedia, so judge the sources at your discretion. Emphasis mine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_voting_in_the_United_States

Research shows that the availability of postal voting increases voter turnout. It has been argued that postal voting has a greater risk of fraud than in-person voting, though known instances of such fraud are very rare.

As of 2022, eight states – California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington – allow all elections to be conducted by mail. Five of these states – Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Washington – hold elections "almost entirely by mail." Postal voting is an option in 33 states and the District of Columbia.

In September 2020, CNN obtained a Homeland Security Department intelligence bulletin asserting ”Russia is likely to continue amplifying criticisms of vote-by-mail and shifting voting processes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic to undermine public trust in the electoral process.” Motivated by false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, Republican lawmakers initiated a push to roll back access to postal voting.

I don’t understand how the so called SAVE act isn’t a constitutional states rights nightmare:

    https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artI-S4-C1-2/ALDE_00013577/

By its terms, Article I, Section 4, Clause 1, referred to as the Elections Clause, contemplates that state legislatures will establish the times, places, and manner of holding elections for the House of Representatives and the Senate, subject to Congress making or altering such state regulations (except as to the place of choosing Senators). The Supreme Court has interpreted the Elections Clause expansively, enabling states to provide a complete code for congressional elections, not only as to times and places, but in relation to notices, registration, supervision of voting, protection of voters, prevention of fraud and corrupt practices, counting of votes, duties of inspectors and canvassers, and making and publication of election returns.

It still blows my fucking mind that Russia has been actively supporting and encouraging the Republican Party’s representatives, policies, and philosophies as a hostile inside actor to destabilize the United States.

The right to vote is a fundamental founding right of the United States, and it forms one of the most basic principals of a self-organizing society. I remember when I was a teenager, thinking that voting didn’t really matter. Now, when younger people tell me the same thing I cringe like a dying star.

If voting doesn’t really matter, then why have they been trying so hard to take it away from us for so long?

  • Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is maintained until 2032, de-bloated, and free.

  • I tried this with my Kia Forte and destroyed my priceless Fabergé egg collection. I’m ruined!

  • Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    Emphasis mine.

Christian nationalists cannot fucking stand that you don’t share in and support their delusion, that you’re not subject to their little club, and that their power dynamics cannot legally bind you. They’re crazy because their beliefs do not align with reality, and the founders knew that they are crazy. It was the first thing they thought of when first amending the constitution after our government was formed.

It will never be enough for them to simply practice their own religion for themselves, their own families, or even their own associations. The flock must grow, by coercion if possible, by force if necessary. The great invisible hand of the “savior” reaches from beyond the grave through the raised arms of voting supplicants, cloaked in peace while sowing righteous fury and stark judgement with starry-eyed innocence and empty smiles.

How funny is it that infinite, omnipotent, unknowable God happens to want exactly the same things as rich white American men? “God” is just convenient excuse for stripping away rights and projecting ego.

Here’s something that’s really hard to believe: That this bullshit still works.

  • Our country sent a cruise missile into a school full of children last week.

  • It is never good to have a situation where the president can be assassinated or is not in charge of his faculties. He needs to be removed from office legitimately for the good of the country, to avoid fracturing it further.

I think this is likely given that he is such a colossal asshole, simply no one can form a real relationship with him (working or otherwise) because no one stand to be around him for very long. He is only capable of abusive relationships in which both parties use each other.

However, normally narcissists burn through and eventually run out of relationships to use for narcissistic supply. Unfortunately, because we have “elected” this extreme malignant narcissist as president of the most powerful nation on earth (for now at least), he has the entire world to abuse and churn through.

To answer your question, a great many people would mind. Although I think the event would just be used like every other event his rampaging ego has caused - taken advantage of by snakes and opportunists for their own gain and then discarded like so much political baggage. It would also become a springboard for JD Vance and every other fascist that has been flourishing under his administration.

  • Together with two other researchers, they set out to look into Persona, the San Francisco-based startup that’s used by Discord for biometric identity verification – and found a Persona frontend exposed to the open internet on a US government authorized server.

In 2,456 publicly accessible files, the code revealed the extensive surveillance Persona software performs on its users, bundled in an interface that pairs facial recognition with financial reporting – and a parallel implementation that appears designed to serve federal agencies.

The company that wants to collect and compile all of your most sensitive data can’t even protect its own source code. They know this surveillance isn’t safe, and they don’t care. They want the power it bestows.

  • It’s begun.

  • When you only have a hammer, everything is a nail.

  • Yes, and they can also instantly blind at long ranges faster than the human eye can close, so don’t go firing them at people’s houses.

  • Whether the Trump family was directly involved in a rug pull, it made gangbusters business, raking in over $100 million in trading fees in just two weeks post-launch. As of January, the Financial Times reported that the $TRUMP coin, and it the First Lady’s $MELANIA that followed, have generated about $427mn in sales and trading fees.

Sounds like it worked exactly as intended.

  • These are great points and are important to consider for mental and sexual health. I also think that the risks accompanying age verification’s mass surveillance and capitalism’s exploitation of America’s institutional sexual repression have a far greater and more harmful impact than porn and masturbation.

Of course, it’s not a bad thing that there is support for people in the form of this app, but I fear that legal policy is expanding to suppress sexuality without consent. For example, data from period tracking apps has already been used to persecute women who seek abortions. If the extreme religious right in America gets their way, could data from anti-masturbation apps or age verification services be used to help prove you accessed “illegal” pornography?

It sounds insane, because it is, but I believe this is where we’re headed in a fascist, sexually repressive America. :/
