  • And remember, SmartPipe Kohler is definitely not a PDF file!

  • That's just not true, Bluetooth codecs have improved sound quality DRAMATICALLY.

And I say this as someone who's not a big fan of wireless.

  • Just add -P to Firefox launch flags once and then selected "prompt me everytime". This also has been true for rlike 20 years.

  • Seconded, Alarmo rules. I even have HA send me video clips over Signal!

  • They are. Look at the meme, Linux phones get the tux.

  • Yeah I switch to MPV maybe a decade ago from VLC. I just like the outward simplicity. It can do everything but it doesn bother showing you unless you ask, whereas VLC is like an all you can eat buffet, kind of overwhelming for day to day use.

I still use VLC occasionally when I want to do something funky and don't want to bother digging into how to do it with MPV for a one off.

  • Winwhat?

  • And exactly how do you expect him to carry the weight of all of the Democratic Party's bullshit if he can't bench 135lbs?

  • Again, this thread replying to the original comment is talking about homelabs.

But also, again, this is addressed in the second half of my comment.

  • Yes, I've addressed this in my original message.

Get yourself a 3$/month VPS, they almost all come with DDoS protection, and reverse proxy from there. Either restrict the ports on your home network to only that IP, or better yet tunnel all the traffic via Wireguard.

Obviously if you're hosting a large server this is another matter, but nevertheless almost all serious hosting services offer in house DDoS protection.

But the comment I was originally replying to specifically refered to homelabs.

  • Don't expose the website. That's the point. Only connect remotely via wireguard.

If you must expose the website, I also provided options in my original post.

  • Just put it behind a wireguard server and don't expose any ports?

If you absolutely must expose some stuff, get a cheap 3$/mo vps that connects via wireguard to your home and setup a reverse proxy? They almost all come with DDoS protection.

  • It's so fucking clear he went there when the intent to murder someone.

They canonized him, gave him a speaking tour, turned him into a folk hero.

Did the two Minnesota legislator get turned into heros? Yeah I don't think so either.

  • Yeah like when Rittenhouse murdered two people, am I right?

  • If it has an unstable pid, then you aren't debugging the kernel.

  • Wrap the launching of that process with the debugger, problem solved.

    1981 asbestos ad

  • If I'm not mistaken they operated in neighboring Tethford Mines, which, ironically, is actually much bigger than the Asbestos mine. In fact I believe it was at one time the biggest asbestos mine in the world. I've been there, the destruction is absolutely mind boggling. The highway runs through the tailing piles, which are still highly contaminated with asbestos and various other heavy metals, all of which leach into the Bécancour river. Here's an interesting piece about it from Radio-Canada (it's in French but the auto translated subs should do a decent job since there are actual captions available): La semaine verte | Tethford Mines Restaurer l'impossible. Re-greening is happening though and seems to have some success: La métamorphose verte de l’ancienne mine Lac d’amiante à Thetford Mines

The kids there know what's up: L'amiante, j'en mange
