I'm pretty blessed to have landed at a small company that is super healthy, highly profitable, and takes care of their employees very well. Not just in salary compensation, but benefits, equity, true unlimited sick/PTO, etc.
The issue is in order to do so, they will have to make themselves feel less important. These social platforms are designed for exploitation by offering users instant soapboxes, immediate gratification in the form of likes/views/comments, a false sense of connection, etc. This is a sliver of the sickness they've spread.
The larger threat is based on if they are virus zombies, and not living-dead zombies. To your point, living-dead zombies will just deteriorate are die off. But virus zomies have a chance of still being able to survive for long periods of time. There's also increased threat depending on how the virus is transmitted, it's lifespan outside the body, mutations, so forth.
Oh damn, good job.
