    Why though? This sounds like a big stupidity. The advantage of physical SIM is that I can easily move it to another device when my phone breaks, and the carrier still sees the IMEI anyway.

    Well, well, well. Let's look at my carrier.

    Within EU: €0.014/MBWithin Europe outside EU + US and Canada: €2/MB. That's £1.66 per Megabyte.North America (excl. US and Canada), South America, Middle East, Asia and africa: €3/MB. That's £2.49 per Megabyte.Brace yourself...Tunisia, Lebanon and Satellite networks (I think that includes ships and planes): €16/MB. That's £13.29 per motherfucking Megabyte.

  • Yep, but I am a long time customer. They had a €2/month off offer, and that's still valid for me. But it only means €2 cheaper. When it got raised from 14 to 15, mine was raised from 12 to 13.

    Which is what got me to ask this. I can't find anything near what I have there. The closest seems to be Kaktus at similar price, with 10GB (rather than my current 300GB for that price), then 2Mb/s Unlimited. Also 100 minutes or SMS, but still...Then there's O2 which for similar price offers 3GB if you're up to 26... How generous.13 EUR is around 19CAD or 330Kč.

    Unlimited data with O2 for 1 line would be around 80 CAD checking T-Mobile and O2.

    Quickly checking my carrier's site, similar to what you have (2 lines, unlimited data, SMS and calls) would cost 34 EUR per month. That's around 50 CAD...

    I have 4G phone, my dad has a 5G phone. I asked if I could check the network speed. 45Mbps on 4G, 50Mbps on 5G. Meh. And the more people move to 5G the slower it will get, and the faster the 4G gets. I've seen this with 3G before shutdown, it was by far faster than overloaded 4G.

  • I use north of 12GB/mo so no limited plan is going to cut it for me.

    That's not even so much, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised about the US. Especially after I've seen crap like Unlimited data + 5GB hotspot. Excuse me, that is clearly a limit.

    For reference, I've used 225GB on my data this month, but it's my only connection.

    But to answer your question, the most pleasant would probably be the quickest. Maybe shotgun to the head. Best if I didn't even expect it and didn't know it was going to happen, just suddenly no consciousness during any normal activity, all of the person erased, nothing, but that's obviously impossible (to be euthanasia).

    Kids are playful, video games are yet another way to play, possibly with friends even while at home.Moderation is something for the parents to take care of.

    I mean there are kids just waste their time on video games and not do any of their school assignments.

    It's just funny to me, "school" is the argument I always hear is something kids should be doing more, almost during all of their free time. It's not like you can just sleep, study, eat, sleep, study, eat, study, eat, (yes, I purposely left that out).And anyway, they already spend like 6 - 8 hours a day at school. Sounds like an average work day already.

    Opera. Works pretty well with always on desktop mode (scaling) and has a nice UI. I also occasionally use the built-in VPN to bypass my DNS blocking quickly.

    My ideal minimum is this: 3x USB-C with support for slow 5V charging, 3x USB-A, 1x RJ-45 Ethernet (not some shit like ThinkPad Ethernet extension), 1x HDMI or 1x DP++, 1x DB9 serial port, 1x MicroSD or 1x SD slot (flush when inserted), 1x 3.5mm combo jack.

  • Well, that completely dismisses my theory of threats.

    Not sure about you, but I wouldn't care whether he was bribed or he simply believes this was the "right" thing to do. It even sounds like you were doing fine financially, and greed won't justify this. And he doesn't even seem to regret it.

  • I'd want to hear his side too, but it's likely he'll lie if it's true. It may be true allegations, it may be false, I don't know what evidence you have.

    Taking just one case, say the one you mentioned, I see 2 possibilities. Either he was bribed, which I'd be inclined to believe if there was more history of corruption, which sounds like may be the case, or he was threatened.

    If he simply did it for money, nope. It's try to gather some more evidence to publish and get the fuck away from him. If he has this little empathy, you may be in some danger too.

    If he did get threatened, that would depend on the threats, but again, sounds like the less likely possibility.
