  • honestly I just want the same install and use experience as fedora KDE gives me on my laptop. ive installed all kinds of goofy rice-esque stuff but the system itself has been entirely out of my way since install.

  • definitely 3

  • i cant wait for mobile Linux to be ready, I will switch in a heartbeat.

  • I thought none if what Texas has was classified as arid dessert, mb. i chose hill country because I've never really spent much time in west Texas and it was the closest to a desert that I was familiar with, and I didn't express that correctly.

  • this is pretty my family's view on this stuff (except some of the grandparents but theres not much to do but wait there). Texas has some very loud people that are all kinds of *ists and *phobics but the majority of people are much more along the lines of "the fuck that got to do with me". I'll skip the more political bits (bc its off topic here) but I bet if we could get rid of America's two party system Texas would instantly tell both parties to fuck all the way off.

    also, Texas is not a desert. this is unrelated but its a common misconception. the closest we have to a desert is hill country which is in central Texas and is not a desert.

  • bro your literally posting this from your wallet. smh my head dude

  • can someone fill me in please, I missed the while situation save a couple memes.

  • good sentiment, but spam is spam. no matter what you are saying if you have the most comments on an entire instance from saying it its spam.

  • it has a combined "timeline" view in the mobile app now, and though it isn't much better the website (for my instance, anyway) only requires one click.

  • i swear no matter how many things I add to my filters I still see stupid shit like this. I'm so tired of seeing political shit all over every community like there aren't communities for that. if you're obsessed with pucking between two teams that both hate you for being poor fine but leave the rest of us alone. and before anyone replies talking about "oh someone got triggered" no, I didn't. I'm just tired of being unable to do anything without seeing politics. if I want to talk politics I with talk to real people, which due to the nature of social media I have to assume yall aren't (meaning more that you could be a bot or troll or several replies could come from the same guy, not that you dont count as people), and most people with do the same. there are politics communities for this kind of thing, please let the rest of us see memes.

  • mx master 3. it's a little bulky and it costs $100 but it legitimately has like a 3 month battery life and it is well built with a high quality sensor, plus the gesture thing (doesn't work on Linux though).

  • need me a girl like that

  • I like kbin, think of it basically like if someone took lemmy and mastodon and made one platform that could use both. there is only one mobile app but it's pretty good imo.

  • when used derogatorily, it is essentially the same as most other deragatory terms. for example, "you fucking

    <word>

    ", or "you're a

    <word>

    ", or "I'm not gonna be told what to do by some

    <word>

    ".

    when used non-derogatorily its the same as like dude or buddy.

  • that looks awesome and the pricing actually seems decent unlike some of their other devices

  • forgot about helium

  • planes are safer because they are less prone to failure and can take more damage (and more significant damage) before falling out of the sky, as well as being able to maneuver on the way down instead of just actually falling.

  • I phrased it poorly, I meant credits as they are now like the slow scroll over a list. i wouldnt mind a screen with a couple pages of names (and in movies, just like flash a few screens if names instead of a 20 minute sequence) but as they are now its just annoying.

  • as they are now, anyway. i don't mind having a screen that shows all the people who worked on something, but this slow scroll over a poorly formatted list is just annoying.

  • they were abandoned because commercial airliners were faster, safer, more durable, and could carry more people.
