Victim of Communism

  • Mass action exists. It's happening. But like so much else, it won't be televised

  • Went through his comments out of curiosity. Dude is a Sound of Freedom tier pedo-hunter and keeps getting banned from communities for the hot takes.

  • I didn't see anything indicating whether this was to scale

Democrats mobilize an ‘unprecedented’ defense to combat potential election disruption

  • Waiting until after the primaries so they don't have to answer to their progressive constituents.

    Cool cool cool

  • It's so fucking funny to see corporate Dems tied up in knots because they're just as unpopular as MAGA Republicans.

  • It's not a great sign when Republicans are outparticipating Dems 2:1 in the primary.

And, of all the states with a thumb on the scale for the GOP, only Texas and Ohio compete with Florida. The sheer volume of dirty tricks and sleezy tactics can't be overstated, from bulk voter disenfranchisement to party officials rioting during vote counting to MAGA teens threatening voters with machettes.

Until a national majority comes in there with a truck full of inspector detectors and a DOJ fire hose, that state is never going to be clean.

  • people generally use that term to talk about stuff like the p320, not people being idiots and causing negligent discharges.

I'll point you back to Burress, whose case was regularly and repeatedly described as such. Nobody was accusing Burress of shooting himself in the leg on purpose, much less as some kind of political act.

  • Example two makes perfect sense if you know even the most elementary bits of physics.

An object in motion will remain in motion at the same speed and in the same straight-line direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

This is Netwon's First Law. Practically the Day One of Physics.

  • The only scenario where a gun just “goes off” would be if it were sitting somewhere untouched

That's not what we're talking about at all.

People drop guns. People do stupid shit with guns, like using the butt as a hammer. People try to show off with pistol twirls and quick-draws. People just handle them wrong - tossing them, sitting on them, holstering them incorrectly, fiddling with them nervously.

Plaxico Burress very famously shot himself in the thigh, because he decided to keep a Glock tucked into the waste band of his pants. Nothing about the story suggests it was intentional.

they are solely responsible for what happens with it.

That's got nothing to do with whether it was accidental.

  • Early on Monday morning in Oregon, Portland police responded to a fire they say was started by "an incendiary device" inside a ballot drop box. Oregon's Multnomah County Elections Division said in a statement that three ballots were damaged. "Fire suppressant inside the ballot box protected virtually all ballots," the statement read.

This is definitely some bullshit. But Oregon isn't exactly a swing state.

ICE Plans to Pay $5 Million to Create National Voting Database

  • A lot of it is just "flail wildly and hope nobody stops you"

Bush v Gore was won when a bunch of campaign flaks simply stormed an office on Miami-Dade and intimidated the staff into halting the recount.

Like, that wasn't a good plan on it's face. And it failed to win in state court. And it didn't even halt recounts statewide. But it did get the case up to a stacked court, where a majority of Republican SC judges could simply annoint Bush the winner.

Similarly, Ohio in 2004 was decided thanks to a rigged recount process. But because the case dragged out into 2007... what was anyone going to do about it? Bush wasn't going to stop being president halfway through his second term.

As often as not, these elections turn on what people can get away with. They aren't decided by genius plots by brilliant strategists so much as shameless acts of political vandalism that go uncontested.

  • Doesn’t stop them from setting ballot boxes on fire like last time.

  • Accidental negligence - legally referred to as inadvertent negligence - is a standard by which a crime can be adjudicated.
