90% of people aren’t worth the time

  • This looks really nice if you’re in a Windows-centric industry but honestly I use Numbers on macOS these days.

  • A long time ago I did try watching at least some of his addresses because he is after all the President, but if I can’t make it through a word salad quote of him I sure as hell can’t make it through that droning, meandering McDonald’s grease lined esophagus voice thing he does.

  • “…given the fact that the United States Military achieved all of its objectives during Operation Epic Fury,” White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly told The Independent in a statement.

I will never get over “Operation Epic Fury”

  • The weird part is Apple’s search (whether Spotlight or within apps) always kicked ass for the longest time, it’s when they started to fuck with it that it got really bad.

  • Not at all. I graduated a semester early and moved to a nearby city where I immediately lost all my friends from high school. A few years later I moved across the country and never looked back.

  • Don’t get me started on the motherfuckers at iRobot. I bought their products a few years ago because I didn’t want to buy “Chinese trash” (Roborock) but regret it every time I use the damn things. (Big mistake, I’d happily buy a Roborock today.)

The app, the stupid need for the cloud, the lack of software updates and Amazon buying them out have all led to a matrix of non-stop “what the fuck is it even doing?” experiences. I’m not one to bitch about “I can’t understand their accent” but support is like 1% more intelligent than the stupid-ass LLM that tries to help you at first.

No, your “troubleshooting” document doesn’t have any fucking relevance to my problem, and my “router” (they probably mean WAP) isn’t some NETGEAR shit from Walmart either. I need y’all motherfuckers to understand things like “IPv6,” “native iOS app,” “local connectivity,” etc. not some guy fisting the keyboard at random between wanks on some farm on the other side of the fucking planet getting paid 25¢ an hour to pretend to care.

  • If you can try Mint Mobile.

But I feel you, both my wife and I are having car trouble at the same time which is always fun.

  • Why is Trump denying and approving aid in the first place though?

  • I was gonna say “they’re all shit”

  • Isn’t that just a workaround for not solving social issues? Is there that much crime where you live?

  • I was going to say the same: while cool I think we’re wasting a lot of resources reinventing stuff that doesn’t necessarily need reinventing.

We’re in the middle of a climate crisis but digging up rare earth metals, assembling plastic pieces all for a self-moving umbrella doesn’t seem very in tune with nature.

  • This should be the highest rated answer. The others are complete overkill.

In fact if you really don’t care whether the upgrade was successful it could even be upgrade ; shutdown.

  • Backrooms?

  • I’m from the Midwest but I believe CompTIA is also popular in Arizona and California though I’m a web developer so I’m not 100% sure, but I’ve heard it thrown around by IT friends kind of a lot.

  • I just use the open-source Rclone but that’s just me.

  • As a web developer that doesn’t do any third-party marketing (nor any kind of data sharing) I always still feel the need to put the annoying cookie pop up explaining that I don’t do this because I assume that without it users think I’m doing it without disclosing it.

  • Honestly I really struggle with this. I use a password manager and 2FA for everything I possibly can with completely random passwords.

But on my work machine for first logging into the OS, what can you do? I have a handful of randomly generated passwords from high school memorized so I usually rotate a combination of those, but I don’t love that either.

  • I’ve read that drinking is often used to communicate depression or stress to viewers. I always found it odd that everyone has a bar in their house so I started thinking about it more and did some reading.
