90% of people aren’t worth the time

  • Clothing with brand names all over the place

  • I absolutely love my Audi but I can’t argue that it isn’t a pile of shit.

  • Yeah I know. I’m just pretty burned out lately.

  • Yeah you know what? Fuck it. Maybe I will sit my ass down all day and not give a fuck at all. You know I just got back from a trip to Mexico and it was quite amazing not having to think about all the fucking political drivel that I do everyday here living in this hell hole, but I like to be informed.

I’m planning to protest on Saturday but maybe I won’t because even the liberals here curb stomp their allies for not doing enough.

Fuck Trump, fuck you and most of all: fuck the USA.

  • Yeah who am I kidding? Fuck that.

  • It’s really funny to me because I live six miles from the area. Each day working from home I wonder if I would even realize there were protests had I no access to the internet or people telling me about them.

  • I’ve never been able to find an answer on this. It’s strange because as I’ve gotten older I realize celery that is only partially cooked is usually okay.

I have had spontaneous allergic reactions to vegetables though. When I was about three I used to sneak into my parents’ garden and eat all the cherry tomatoes and end up with a rash. For a while I was allergic to strawberries too. It always goes away with time—my most recent case was eating too many tomatoes about two years ago.

  • I can’t stand raw celery because it makes me lightheaded and dizzy.

  • And of course the website will have a ton of third party tracking because that makes sense to have on government websites.

  • Sounds like you’re not in capitalist USA.

  • using e-codes

    What’s an e-code?

  • Yeah, I used to be a typical Apple fanboy circa 2010, always watching the WWDC like I’m going to church.

Keeping up with Apple over the past several years has been very hit or miss, and watching it yesterday just kind of pissed me off.

  • What industry are you in that summer becomes so easy to work in?

  • Oh wow, I feel like a moron now. I never could figure out why it would be “for wind.”

  • What the fuck is a parasol?

Edit: I looked it up and now I understand. Does the word happen to come from Spanish? Parasol would mean “for the sun” much like other words like parabrisas.

  • I always get stuck with the cursed cart but I roll with it. In a crowded store on the weekend nothing is more fun than power walking and doing extreme maneuvers with a loud as fuck cart.

  • I spent the entire day on the Citizen app.

  • This is one of those things that if you really want to do it, you’ll have to live with the consequences.

I’m an American that VPNs everything first to my VPS then down a double hop commercial VPN tunnel that finally exits in Switzerland. DNS traffic also travels over that VPN tunnel so you’ll rightly guess that my DNS is rather slow too.

What I do is I run a resolver on the VPS (physically near me) that aggressively prefetches commonly queried DNS records. After years of using Unbound I found Blocky to be much, much faster (especially with huge blocklists). It’s to the point now where sure, it’s slower than a “normal” internet connection but it doesn’t feel slow to me anymore.
