90% of people aren’t worth the time

  • I’m just glad I dodged that bullet. I had two friends on separate occasions say Best Buy was unable to fix their laptop and in both cases simply opening it and reseating the RAM was enough. I’m not sure what kind of morons they had working there.

  • They disqualified me from Geek Squad because I knew how to use Linux (as well as Windows at the time but it’s been ages). They told me “we only sell Windows machines here” despite (as far as I know) they themselves using Linux to repair Windows computers.

  • I really thought the response was an AI suggestion at first glance; that would’ve been hilarious.

  • Great point. I always forget about this too, but I don’t want a car spying on me either.

  • I drive a 20 year old gas guzzling Audi but honestly: good. Like meat, we need to allow these prices to increase until it’s painful so people eventually switch to sustainable modes of transportation (and food).

Personally, I just want EVs so come down in price before I make the switch.

  • “And so, this narrative that’s mostly pushed by the left and pushed by the media that the president’s going to pull me aside and ask me to do something illegal is completely a false narrative, not true, will not happen and hasn’t happened.”

    “Trust me bro.”

In April, Blanche said he would tell Trump, “I love you, sir,” if the president decided to fire him and nominate someone else to replace Bondi.

So what’s this guy’s deal? Sounds like a fucking clown.

  • My dogs sometimes want to be under the covers, other times they don’t. But I wouldn’t label one or the other “naughty.”

  • “Horny MILFs in your area would like to gamble with you!”

  • Be careful if there’s a public IP address. I think some operating systems even include IPv6 with 0.0.0.0 so that if there’s a public one assigned this might open it up to the world.

  • Then pay living wages? Weird that Fox News would be against both the problem and its inevitable solution.

  • I think people just need a reason to be upset sometimes.

  • I grew up in the Midwestern US where it felt like a 50/50 split. I’ve lived in California for the past ~12 years and while I enjoy not being confronted with far-right ideas it is tiring hearing everyone kind of mindlessly nod along to liberal ones. I actually sometimes miss debating opposing viewpoints.

  • I actually really loved the Touch Bar and am sad that newer Macs don’t have them.

  • Where is your cut?

Fucking hilarious, why would any taxpayer in the US ever expect a “cut?” The money is gone bro.

  • Usually when people ask what I do I say I’m a web application developer rather than just web developer just to differentiate between what you’re saying (static sites, graphic design focused) and business applications.

  • I’m a self-taught web developer and it took me ages to finally get my act together, but what finally landed me a professional position was having extensive examples of systems I created while working for non-development companies. So even though it was mainly fast food, warehouse and shipping work I was able to prove myself by saying things like “I developed an application that allowed me to dump CSV from Sage then process it to track orders normally tracked only on paper” and “I developed a system to manage food cost.”

  • It’s probably just an Electron app with zero effort put into it. But also, AI sucks.

  • Why wouldn’t it be both?

  • Is keeping the price of animal abuse products artificially low beneficial to the animals, the climate, or any of us though?
