  • It turned out nice and crunchy caramelized. Won't say it wasn't nerve-wracking, but it came together. All in all about 2 hours work, chopping and prepping while the broth was coming together.

  • Thanks. It was kid tested and mother approved.

  • Hey!

  • At this point in the season Sisko still detests the idea, Rom/Leeta/Jake have only had bad/awkward experiences there, Quark sees Vic as competition, and Ezri is the only ambivalent one at the table.

  • They likely forgive that based on Nog's relative age, wheras Julian is just a man-child to the rest of them.

  • He does tout that series 2 or 3 times throughout the show. Might be getting some residuals or even ghost wrote it.

  • I'm all for it, no judgment. Just love how everyone decided to bash on Bashir in the middle of a serious discussion concerning Nog's PTSD treatment.

  • Did a full runthrough of TOS last year, as there were a handful I'd not seen. Definitely a product of its time, in both budget and sensibility (progressive though it was). View them like a stage play or podcast series. It helps.

The first film is pretty, but dull. The others are more fun.

  • At least, according to the think tank.

  • Cloudy with a chance of pah-wraith.

  • Sure, but not as far as her and Paris' accounts are concerned.

  • And lest we forget, our adopted mother Janeway:

  • I will note for Skullgrid that it was a puppet and not stop-motion.

  • I must admit that I belong in the same boat. Outside of a couple stray episodes seen when it was airing plus the myriad of references, I don't know it.

  • Thanks for the tip. I do enjoy that style and I'm assuming he's still voiced by Sam Witwer?

  • You're not doing it right, then.

  • Understandable, but he'd already passed by the time of that episode. The proverbial torch had been passed between sticky hands.

  • A common misconception today is that Atlas was forced to hold the Earth on his shoulders, but Classical art shows Atlas holding the celestial spheres, not the terrestrial globe; the solidity of the marble globe borne by the Farnese Atlas may have aided the conflation, reinforced in the 16th century by the developing usage of atlas to describe a corpus of terrestrial maps.

I'm aware, but there's nothing I can do about people's misunderstanding of ancient mythology in the fictional 24th century (or 20th century writers for that matter).

  • It's a weird one, for sure.

There's some fun moments, though, like Worf in Ten Forward or Riker's "I'll be in holodeck 3 if anyone needs me."

Also note the re-use of their makeup transferred over to the Trill on DS9.
