  • The half that didn't vote for Trump

  • How many people voted for Trump?

  • I do this too. IPA is great (beer and chemical) but soap and hot water work best for me

  • I get the appeal of a lightweight device but i personally like a little weight as long as it is heavy because it _b .... I just woke up and realized I fell asleep typing my comment. I literally bored myself to sleep.

  • Linux has come a long way though and it's basically turn key for some distros. Even with flatpak or system catalogs built into the gui.

  • This is where the Linux and self hosting people chime in.

  • I'd imagine the Mac mini could be turned into a retro gaming rig similar to retro pi or batocera (spelling?)

  • I do push day, pull day, leg day. It's a common split you could look up a bunch of different workouts. Just search for ppl split workout. It's nice because even if you go to the gym every day (I'm not advocating that, you need rest) your muscle groups get two days of rest before you work them again.

If you're new and intimidated by some of the exercises, just find a machine that works the same muscles or does a similar motion. It's not perfect but it gets the job done. I watched a ton of YouTube videos on how to do exercises when I started. And if you don't like an exercise, don't do it. Find another one that works the same muscles that is enjoyable. For instance... Most programs suggest doing "skull crushers" for triceps workout. I hate them. They don't feel right and the name annoys me. I do overhead triceps extensions on a cable machine instead and they feel so much better to me. I enjoy doing them instead of dreading

    Good luck!

  • I'd carefully review policies of Dropbox or any company to make sure you aren't just jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. If I was you I'd look into one of the encrypted services others have mentioned. Or even just email an encrypted PDF to them on the regular.

  • Yikes! I always just tossed it into the recycle bin!

  • I was about to say that surely it's not just 1 person they are talking about. Then I read, "Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’”

    WTF

  • I had no idea uline was evil. I liked their gifts!

  • There's also onshape which has a free tier (your files are public) and it's web based so you can model on any platform. Or fusion 360 which comes from an annoying company but fine for little things. I've been using onshape for little things lately. I

don't think I'd recommend blender to a newbie. It's more involved and really takes time to learn. Similar for free CAD. I love the idea but it's really clunky to use.

The best (imo) modeling software has a simple workflow with easy to find tools. Create a sketch, extrude that sketch, then do it again if needed, add holes etc...

  • I just model nearly everything I print. The one time I purchased was from cults3d. I'm sure printable or anywhere else is fine too. Most of the paid ones just have better pictures but some are great designs imo

  • That's just about all I need. Vpn + privacy browser is as much effort as I'm willing to put in. Beyond that it gets really frustrating.

  • Pouring resources into it... Doesn't almost every other os/distro have this option?

  • eBay helps too. I picked up 16gb of ddr4 ram for someone the other day for $40 and got myself a cpu cooler for my build for $60 less than brand new. It was just open box so basically new. Takes patience but there are still deals to be found out there.

  • I just built an am4 machine from mostly old parts I had kicking around. Was happy I went a little to crazy a few years ago. No way I'd of been able to do it with prices now

  • I don't have the answer to your question but I applaud your ambition and willingness to reach out to the community before hand for help.
