  • It's not feasible. A project can have 10s or 100s of thousand lines of code and it takes months to really understand what's going on. Sometimes you need domain specific knowledge.

I read through those installers that do a curl gitbub... | bash. Otherwise I do what amounts to a "vibe check". How many forks and stars does it have? How many contributors? What is the release cycle like?

  • Can someone explain to me why? The outputs are objects and that is cool for scripts, but the fact that every small thing is its own cmdlet is super annoying. I can do everything in Linux if I know 10 commands. In PS I would always have to look up everything.

  • The capacitors have a limited lifetime.

  • PCI bus bar on top.

  • 3600W is the maximum a power socket is rated for and the fuse triggers at 3800W. So, cutting it pretty close.

  • The basic thing is this:

You cannot turn emotions off. They always come back.

Anything an individual can do to try and suppress emotions, it never works. Whether it be telling yourself you have no emotions and trying to become a machine, or using drugs, the emotions are still there.

This leads to a negative cycle where you manage to suppress emotions for a time, but then they come back worse, and you double down on your suppression efforts.

On top of that you are making the underlying issue actually worse.

The only long term solution is to make peace with it. It is possible. There are even Mengele experiment survivors that forgave Mengele.

  • For the people downvoting you.

On a regular basis, when Italian partisans killed Germans or blew up bridges, Mussolini ordered 10 or so from their village killed. Pregnant women, children, didn't matter.

After an attack on an empty german car (no german casualties), 15 partisans were executed on a square, their corpses left to rot for the rest of the day under the sun. That is the square they transported Mussolinis corpse to, together with the corpses of his lover and fifteen other fascists.

The square is now known the fifteen martyrs square after the dead partisans. Although many in Italy now probably call it so for the dead fascists.

Person who ordered the killing later worked for the CIA and the german version of the FBI.

  • The sad thing is that the bar is so low. If it was a once in a century charismatic leader you could say "I get how people fell for this!". But the fact it's Trump and Musk just exposes how utterly flawed human society is, and how easy it is to slide backwards. Humanity has no excuse for this one.

  • That would require us, the users, to donate more.

  • Just want to point out that many "smaller" crimes (unlawful executions and such), took 10+ years to be investigated properly and there was also a blanket amnesty.

  • If its set up correctly you can do updates and reboots whenever, without service interruption and don't have to let your staff do night shifts just because the company is too cheap to do it right.

  • I would argue the opposite. If you have to do it at night, it means your infra is not set up very well.

  • What is in the debug log?

  • I got one a while ago and they are great for cleaning small objects, and glasses. Basically ultrasonic sound waves get send through water, small cavitation bubbles form and rip off the dirt.

  • Yes it exists, but these services are aimed at companies.

  • Every single one "I voted for Trump three times but didn't think I would be affected".

They deserve it. Not a shred of empathy.

  • Its probably just pretext to arrest the editor, and charge him with treason .
