  • Aha, so it's treating the pasta as one would a fruit filled pierogi or crepe. Just a wheaty medium for delivery of fruity goodness.

  • Someone tell me more about pasta with strawberries please. I say this as a pineapple on pizza aficionado.

  • Fair, but you can still post about it in the more general cars communities, no?

Even Reddit didn't start with all these specialized subs. It started without subs at all, actually. And then the big general subs were born, and only later the niche subs were born because the signal to noise ratio in the big ones got too bad. Post your content here in the general communities until the signal to noise ratio warrants a dedicated offshoot.

This advice generalizes. There aren't enough fans of each sports team here yet to have team specific communities, but there are enough fans of each sport to have general communities for that sport. Branch later.

  • "space music" -- I played Mass Effect 1 long ago and got hooked on the idea of musicians trying (and often failing) to make music for futuristic settings. This is like Star Trek episodes that reference classical music but some person has to predict what classical music will sound like in 2300. So they go with with future retro stuff and it just tickles me. So I seek out these sorts of experimental musical pre-trend predictions cause they're often hilarious.

  • There are dedicated communities on Lemmy to these things -- and they're pretty quiet. Post new content there and engage in conversations and be the change you want to see.

  • Probably just a shoulder check used for photo. Probably an unrelated stock image for the transmission. Still a funny meme template

  • I mean it uses location and acceleration info for driving habits. What did you expect?

  • And they can request location info and other things, and most people just click Allow.

  • Saw (or rather heard) a few at a football game recently. They're still here, but at least it isn't a stadium full.

Instead we use cowbells like God and nature intended ;)

  • Technically, if the bicycle is motor assisted, then yes that would also illegal in Canada and on rare occasion. There was a recent case here: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/amherst-man-charged-with-impaired-driving-while-riding-e-bike-1.7576394

However, the original story and this one share a common theme -- attempts to circumvent a driving ban by using a motorized vehicle that straddles a grey area of the definition. And both involved them playing in traffic.

As far as I know, no recent cases have involve true non-motorized vehicles. Legal precedent suggests that bikes, skateboards, horses, etc., are allowed to be operated over limit. However, you can still be charged with all sorts of secondary things depending on how you're operating.

  • Or the opposite -- you wake up with the cat sleeping on your chest, nose three inches from yours, and you're like: "I just want to roll over and now I can't!"

  • Danger. Danger. Must pet danger.

  • Our cat will slink to the farthest corner of the house. It will be hours before she emerges. The vacuum ran for 8 seconds.

  • This is actually hilarious.

  • Nice perspective.

What would you consider to be a contribution of value? Posting? Comments? Moderating? Installing a server rack in your closer for nightly backups? What would you suggest a minimum contribution for continued use should be?

  • No. If Stalin's Soviet era showed us anything, it's that the dogma of religion can be replaced with the dogma of state. Getting rid of organized religion just kicks the can down the road. Education is paramount.

  • Paint the cameras ;)

  • Was playing slo-pitch (beer league rec baseball), pitching. The other team was short one player, so when the missing player came up to bat, there would be an automatic out.

It's bottom of the last inning and we're tied, two outs. Batter in the box and "automatic out" is on deck. My shortstop says: "if you walk this batter, they cannot win." I decline, and throw decent pitches - our thirdbaselady makes a perfect line drive catch to preserve the tie. Walking off the field, I say the the shortstop.

"I couldn't do it. If I walk the batter, then after the game when I go touch myself -- I wouldn't have enjoyed it." The bench dies laughing.

  • Daaad, get off the interent.
