  • You must mean "Quality filters"? Well, nithing happens when i tap that.

  • Where is this setting? I cant find it in Colota.

  • Yes, i have similar needs. I started recording my tracks in 2015 when i discovered osmand. I literally stored these tracks on my nas for years thinking that at some point, i would chuck in GIS or something to view my history. Then i discovered Dawarich which does it all for me.

  • I get this too. Its GPS position accuracy. In highly urbanised or indoor, it hapoens ..

  • Cool. So I have a driving profile that is logging every 5 seconds after I exceed 10km/h (movement threshold is 10m); activation/deactivation 0/60 respectively. I'm finding the tracks are not smooth and because point get logged once or twice in town roads (i.e. the track cuts roads). Is this profile recording one point every 5 secs if and only if I exceed 10km/h? In that case I would expect a lot more points logged. How do I tell it to log a point every 10 m for example? Rather than use time interval? Priority is 9 while my home profile (stationary) is 10.

  • For some reason when i do a search it doesn't find them. Then when i click on a link provided by someone it't there ...how annoying. But yes, i downloaded Colota today and impressed thus far. I need to get profile to do what i want still ...

  • It was last updated 6 years ago. GPSlogger seems to still be maintained

  • Cool, thanks. Both are on fdroid which is cool

Dawarich: 10 years of recorded tracks and now they have a purpose

  • I've been thinking about this lately as i was intending to build a 3 node cluster with proxmox. I still need to understand what happens when one node fails and how tbe othes handle exposing services. If the ip changes, bookmarks wont work. So i thought an inter al domain would be the sol ution?

  • How bloody annoying! Trying to move the tree to another VM and exported *.gramps file from other VM where it was working but get the same problem around the database being locked. It means that the GRAMPSWEB_TREE: setting in the compose file makes no difference. Makes no difference whether I try importing as admin. This is also a single tree setup. This issue is really annoying. Wish the docs referenced it.

  • "I need WhatsApp for almost everything from talking to family and friends to Work. Most of the world does, and the same is true for Facebook."

Whatsapp and Facebook bring convienence for sure, but you can live without them. All those that know me, know i refuse to use Whatapp. Those that want to keep up with me have installed Signal. I admit that for business it can be tricky but we have to start somewhere?

  • This is an interesting thread. Seems to make remote access easy. But are you not putting the trust on those that run that pangolin infrastructure? I suspect the answer is to go VPS if you dont trust? Also, are there workable step by step guides to help you set this all up? I find YT giudes a bit fustrating. Prefer reading :-)

  • Ah, i had missed this .... great example of OSS converging on efforts ...

  • Yeah, i got stuck on this a few months ago when trying to set up Vaultwarden. I gave up for the time being. I need a proper guide that walks you through all the steps :-)

  • I tend to agree. Slight problem is when u r away from home for long periods

  • Dont u do this by setting the default address book in ur contacts app. I've set it to Radicale account. Works like a chatm. Deleted everything else.

  • How does it compare with K9-mail?

  • I use Radical with my family. It didnt implement calendar sharing when i i stalled but i think i read somewhere that they either have or will implement. Need to look into it

  • Mmm, I tried that. It only allows you to select from existing events which probably fuels the rants of the other user ;-)
