  • Hm, as someone who really gets bothered by prescriptivists (especially the iamverysmart ones who call out minor spelling mistakes or obvious typos), it's a lot better around here than it was a couple years ago but those accounts are still very present and noticeable to me.

  • Ambulances in Japan are free, and of course charging exorbitant prices for them is shit, but maybe they should cost the same as a taxi or something (at least if you're not below the poverty line). I've got a friend in the nursing industry in Japan and I've been told that old people sometimes use them when they have really minor symptoms, which strains an already struggling system.

  • A lot of people focus on the censorship and you could definitely argue that being the central theme, but bradbury himself said he was trying to highlight the dangers of mass media.
