  • They can't. Middle class oil workers, workers in the gasoline auto-sector will not vote for Democrats. The same goes for many who are contractors; plumbers, electricians, HVAC.

    Those working for Amazon might be able to unionize, same with Walmart. Hopefully they can get better pay, and hours. But they are not fighting the same fight as climate activists.

    Trump might break teacher unions soon with school vouchers.

    Democrats need to start with hyper-local issues, and organize around those.

  • I think that the real story is that economy was doing slightly better, and this is what caused everyone to be so pissed. Its slight uptick caused people to stop and say' "What, that's it? Where is mine? Everybody should Fuck Off". When the economy slightly down-ticks, people tend to be more understanding. Humans are generally shitty and short sighted, especially those that voted for Trump.

  • The oil companies and food conglomerates raise prices knowing that the inflation will hurt Democrats.

    As dumb as Trump is, even he looked at interests rates raising and knew it was an idiotic move by the Feds. People remembered him complaining about the interest rate hikes when the election came.

    The Democrats can't control corporate interests that will always work to hurt Democrat's agenda. The Democrats don't have the stomach to do things like Trump, who is crazy enough to take on the Fed if he doesn't like what the are doing.
