  • what a great article! a breath of fresh air and I suspect that in writing it, the author just added themselves to a list....

  • IMO AI would probably do the job of CEO better than a human. It wouldn't be as greedy and would be happy with any growth while being humble enough to make decisions that might be personally embarrassing

  • funny... i expected IT workers to be in that list but we're not. AI couldn't do my job but it could be my boss and that frightens me.

  • only people with problems have that level of insecurity

  • I'm from the PNW, my life has been spent in the outdoors and I have backpacked alone in the Cascade mountains. I'm of the opinion that wild animals are more frightened of me than I could be of them. I fear encountering a hungry cougar but otherwise I don't really have any fear of other animals. I don't want to encounter a momma bear and her cubs nor a mother moose with her calf. Those are two things I would be feeling is dangerous.

But snakes, wolves, or whatever other nasties that I might find in my neck of the woods, don't really make me scared.

  • it'll be a good day when this guy passes... what a piece of shit

he will say anything to make people mad.

he is one of the few people I truly believe just wants to watch the world burn.

  • the dieing days are here for the first wave of boomers and it's only going to increase.... day by day

im genx and I'm of the opinion that my parents and their generation are the most selfish and most self centered generation in the history of this country. They spoiled their opportunities to do what they thought was right as young people.... so some genxrs are also pieces of shit but most people of my generation understand we are a skipped generation and the young people are the future. We are not like our parents that is for sure.

  • I am in tech, I am in a union. Its fucking great!

  • wait until the boomer generation stops using it...

  • my best friends dad growing up was an advertisement executive... he gave me a lot of insight to advertising and advertisment...

basically you have to understand the game so you can block it, and once you understand the rules it won't get to you and you won't notice it .. unless it's marketing art and then you see it

  • love these cute comics

  • Protestors need to know how to contact their local ACLU. If you're doing this level of protest, probably should preemptively havea contact with them and memorize the contact phone number

  • it's situation dependent for sure but I listen for junk jargon most of the time and then do root cause analysis like questions on it. like trying to find the answers to asking why to everything they say. why does it work like that? Does it support xyz? why? why.... . Gotta do it right so your coworkers are in on it. there's a uncomfortable laugh when you know you hit the mark.

  • As a System Admin, I totally feel this. I fucking hate vendors and their bullshit marketing. In generally during the times that I have to deal, I will usually hear them out. But if the rep is annoying I will start the Q&A with questions that are designed to destroy their presentations or expose how little they know about their products. Good sales reps know how to react but bad ones just dig it in deeper and it becomes a show.

  • I am 50 and I can tell you with absolute certainty, 17 year olds are like children. I work next to a collage campus and even 21 year olds are like children. My niece just turned 27 and she is just in the last couple years actually acting like an adult. I hope your dad has a great time but I doubt it will last unless she really is just a gold digger, looking for a sugar daddy.

more power to them both if that is the case, but your feelings are totally relatable.

  • Good answer!
