  • Mostly wing it based on my memory. But in some occasions, there's a list of important stuffs. It's mostly just 2,3 items like "we're out of potatoes/onions/salt", then wing the rest.

I think except for important and constant stuffs like spices, it's better to just buy what's available cheap and make your food from that. But that could be just me

  • Sorry, I just said it in general. Most of the limits, in my opinion, should allow some wiggle room for the normal people, maybe even slightly well-off people. So that people at the bottom are not fighting with each other about the policies that are actually made for people at the top

  • They'll probably just forward that down to the renters. We need the renters to have an option to buy instead of rent if they want. So that some people can't buy up all properties and then jack up prices of both renting and buying houses.

Again, I think it's ok if you have 1 more house or maybe 2 houses you rent out, but anything more than that taxed heavily. Or a non-personal entity owning multiple properties should be taxed so high they can't keep it up. But it is worrying that even the slightly well-off people with 1 property start increasing rent. But having enough available and not having someone hord all of them means they can't keep some empty and still make profits, so many of those houses will be available for rent for cheaper.

Like, if we have 100 people with 100 properties they rent out, means all of them want their property occupied. But 5 people with 20 property each can double the rent and have 40% property unoccupied and still make profits.

  • We don't need to fight over little figures like this. Let's just multiply op's figures by 5. And then we can tax a lot after that, multiply that by 10 and tax more than what it's worth after that.

Problem isn't someone living in 2 bedroom per person, it's when they have multiple mansions. Or multiple "investment properties", and some of them are just empty because it's still profitable

  • Our moon has a name, it's Luna

  • 51?

This is what's wrong with people.

Even if trump had lost the election I was gonna be horrified if he had even gotten 30% of the votes. But this... Again. It doesn't matter if AOC wins if half the country is basically saying, after all this, they want more.

  • I don't know a lot about other fields but stat people are hired a lot by research institutions. A good statistician can reduce the number of experiments you need to do, being able to test a drug/treatment with 7 people instead of 100 means a lot. They save a lot of money.

Also being able to make inference from past data, incomplete data, use correct math (there is always different ways to solve things) so they don't make mistakes.

And a lot of people with stat degree join either academia, or other fields that have actual problems and use their background to solve issues.

  • Ha, I know several.

    P. S. About to have a PhD myself

  • I'm not that knowledgeable about the events. But did he name the cult?

If someone else named the cult, and someone else wrote the Bible. And the book did not exist in his time. Then even if he was a real person that wanted good in the world, he was never a part of the religion/cult that was started in his name, right?

  • Was Jesus ever Cristian?

  • I don't know the software my uni uses but it marked the bibliography section for plagiarism lol. Not the whole section at once, just a lot of multiple sections containing few bibliography entries, which are alphabetically sorted.

  • Give me cash. If you wanna give me money don't give me money with limitations (sometimes money that expires).

Gift cards are free profit to corporations, a significant fraction never gets used, it's pure profit for them.

  • You expected version should always be more than what you're today. Not because you're bad but because you'll just get better anyway. Learn to be satisfied in life with little things and little improvements, those will slowly make things better.

Also I find that having little projects (in computer or real life) where you make things helps with mental health. When you build something, however minor, it gives you the feeling of accomplishment. And if you can focus on making something, solving those problems, then you are sufficiently distracted as well.

  • Sorry I forgot to respond.

The thing that triggered it was when I shared an xkcd link. I have seen it a lot here but I guess it's niche. And knowing about tardigrades, and many weird biology knowledge about bugs, bacteria, and such. We're both super nerdy about science, but at the same time we hadn't met anyone else be this nerdy about science in real life.

  • It'll improve with time don't give up. If on average you are better then you're past self, you're doing better than a lot of people

Edit: don't give up, not sunny give up

  • Yeah, the house prices has gone up so much it's crazy. And rent, I can't believe how different it was 5 years ago. I wish I could have free time to do things while not having to worry about so much

  • People that do well in wartime and during peacetime are different type of people.

  • I don't know what you mean by supports tray but have you tried KDE connect? It has a lot more features than just sending files but I use it for a few things.

And if you don't care about having GUI, I love miniserve for sharing files. It'll open a web server and you can connect to it to download/upload files.
