  • All quiet on the western front

It's a movie about a German soldier during WWI, really trying to convey the horrors of war.

  • I agree with that stance but the harder part is for group conversations. There if you're alone asking to migrate it's much harder to convince the group to migrate, even if everyone individually is OK with using signal for 1-to-1 chats

  • Note taking App, AI in the front page... I don't think you understand the point of taking notes.

  • Link previews without https were a terrible idea

  • It took some thinking to figure out what was happening, I initially thought they were reading her mind and judging her. But after noticing that the first two panels were people of the group I figured it out. It wasn't that hard to figure out but required paying attention, a pretty good little comic if you ask me.

Maybe you should make the background colours of the second and third panels match that of the first, so that it's clearer they're the same peoe.

  • People have been caring for a mong time. These killing are just so violent, so obviously unjustified, and most importantly, they have been filmed with many many angles, that it show how full of hate ICE and MAGA really are.

  • The protagonist is a dude...

  • If ICE where to join a fediverse instance they would most likely get insta-banned or their instanced would be defederated from large portions of the fediverse very quick.

  • It's not that we're missing more user, but rather that we are missing communities where people would come for the community specifically.

Lemmy is filled with people that want something that is reddit without being reddit.

We will start winning the moment we have communities were people join Lemmy to be part of said community.

  • Well they are a serious company with serious engineering capabilities. Just know that whoever runs the control server can control your network, and almost everyone uses Tailscale's centralised control server, so they control the networks of almost all of their customers. Most of their customers are for internal use by companies which don't care about relying on SaaS products. But if you self-host for resilience, using Tailscale doesn't make much sense without also self-hosting the control server through the unofficial headscale implementation.

  • Just FYI unless you self-host headscale, tailscale is centralised and not private. They claim it is end to end encrypted but their proprietary centralised control server distributes the keys, so they could very easily MITM you.

Tailscale is good tech and good crypto, but Applied cryptography cannot solve a security problem. It can only convert a security problem into a key-management problem, and tailscale does not do decentralised key management.

  • Ore like vice signaling.

  • Fair response. I just hope you'll have it in mind if you stumble on other of this guy's stuff. He's terrible.

  • WTF I never said you must watch the video... OP answered they don't even know who it is that's perfectly reasonable. I I won't pressure them into learning more about Lunduke. Nobody deserves that.

  • Two people kissing make a single continous tube going from one anus to the other

  • WebSocket seems like a completely wrong abstraction for streaming video...

  • The whole point of Anubis is to not have to go through a CDN to sustain scrapping botnets
