  • The crusades. But with nukes.

  • Boeing and Lockheed Martin got into the space game thinking they could make some money, they’ve both pretty much given up. Space is a whole different level of expense.

  • I’m glad back a few years ago I planned my PC for Linux. AMD everything. It’s been a mostly smooth operation.

  • Putting on my ME hat. Power systems are designed to extract the most amount of energy of their fuel sources. This leads for waste heat to not be significantly above ambient temperatures as they have extracted about as much as they can from it.

I assume now many high end servers are now water cooled, so that probably improves their cooling performance of their system, vs the older ways of aisle cooling and having hot and cold sides of the rack.

But unlike power stations, I don’t think the data centers have incentives or the ability to extract much useful work from their waste heat, so I’m sure they are dumping it as fast as they can plus the waste heat from all the secondary systems, cooling, water pumps, etc. are just compounding the local air temps.

  • Have you seen the movie Bugonia? I’m nearly convinced that CEO’s are all human looking aliens that are determined to destroy earth and enslave humans. #tinfoilhat #downtherabbithole

  • Pretty soon you’ll just have nuclear plants just to power data centers.

  • :shocked pikachu face:

  • This arm is only attached to me, I have no physical control of it and cannot be held responsible for it’s actions.

  • Engineer approved.

  • What’s wrong with team speak? It was a good service circa 2006. And I don’t see how it is significantly less valuable to the “gaming” community. I know it isn’t as feature rich and discord has evolved a lot from its “gamer” origins. I see it used for all kinds of community’s as a catch all system. I guess that is good, but I don’t get much value from it being a centralized point of community building.

  • Joseph Guillotin looking down on us like, “ I gave you the tool you fools”.

  • Should make all journal publications fair use.

  • You telling me, they didn’t have anyone with German skills reviewing their translation prior to publication?

  • How much longer will corporate buyers keep taking this?

  • Sss chart

It’s make me question, what is the consequence of not registering? It looks like you wouldn’t have access to Pell Grants, and not eligible for government jobs, but that seems about it. Are employment background checks verifying previous applications to sss?

  • I mean, I had to, to register for college. If my memory serves me right.

  • Do you know if they keep a log of everyone that is timed out?

  • I actually expect all males under 40 have to sign up for the draft and show up at recruiting centers. If you are overweight the government will take over production of glp-1 and force those over weight on it. They will profile your social media using some kind of palentir program to assess your risk to the government cause and possibly send those most against the government to the front lines under equipped.

  • Not all hero’s wear capes.
