  • I moved from Python to Julia. I primarily generate mathematical images and videos: fractals, chaotic systems, complex functions, etc. I've found Julia to be faster with better libraries for my purposes (eg. VideoIO).

I don't do charts, graphs, etc.. but I imagine Julia has great libraries for that stuff too.

  • This win/lose framework seems uselessly simplistic and feeds into the bi-partisan imperialism that is the actual problem.

  • Nah. Dems should push the point that imperialism is doomed. That the MIC needs to be deconstructed. That serving zionism is genocidal. Etc.

    But they won't.

  • They both refer to Iran as an enemy

    Imperialism has unquestionable bi-partisan support.

  • It's only "worse" from the imperial perspective that it helps the oppressed more.

It's completely normal and completely shameful that the so-called opposition uses this framing.

(Checks notes)... Corey Booker... Oh ok. Fuck that guy.

  • Instead he'll just stay home shooting beers.

  • There's no real problem here because "AI" doesn't exist. A transcript program is certainly not "intelligent" or even "artificial" in any meaningful sense.

So, if you want to use an automated transcription program, I don't see why not. Just check that it's fairly accurate and not somehow nefarious.

  • The main problem is that there's no such things as "AI". It doesn't exist.

If you're talking about "generated media", then I think it's still a vague and unenforceable category. For example, when does using an image filter turn into "generated media"? But at least it would be more accurate and specific.

  • The legal system exists to serve these people and attack everybody else.

  • Yeah, clickbait headline is sus AF.

  • I use KODI + FLIRC + a universal remote. It's great for me.

You can setup whatever remote control you like, but honestly you might want lots of buttons for all the options in Kodi.

  • ... but you're better of just using Kodi's own video/tv management.

  • Kodi yo... Although my YouTube addon stopped working recently. aggg...

  • I think they do both. They put the "AI" first and, when that fails, you can ask for a human.

  • I called Best Buy recently and got nowhere with their "AI". I was asking if they had Steam gift cards (they do), but it kept trying to sign me up for a credit card.

After asking for a real person and putting me on hold for 15mins, I got a human who was very nice and totally helpful.

  • It was seized by the state and handed over to zionists.

  • Jellyfin, VacuumTube, and a bunch of games.

I use Kodi for all of this plus IPTV, etc. It has a customizable "home", menus, etc. that make it easy to navigate. You can also run audio/video in the background while navigating.

It can be a pain to setup everything but I think it's worth it.
