  • Are you assuming that Windows users would do the smart thing? They've already failed.

  • This take is a denial of current reality.

They're already using "AI" for genocide in Palestine, etc.

This is how capitalism always develops and uses "technology".

  • Legendary boondoggle in a world of endless violence and poverty.

  • On the internet: I mod a nolympics comm and constantly hate on the world cup.

IRL: I watch/pirate every game of the world cup. I won't watch the olympics though. It's nothing but boredom, commercials, nationalism... But yeah, I let others have their fun like I have mine.

  • Promoting the imaginary grift of "AI" is almost the same thing as promoting the fascists who are profiting.

  • it won’t solve the “noise” problem though. I was relatively active on !imageai@sh.itjust.works and we were constantly nagged by sloppies even though the community is clearly dedicated to generativeArt

Maybe y'all would get less hate if the sub was called "generativeArt" instead of grifterly claiming to be "AI".

  • Maybe it should be something else that’s not such a loaded keyword?

Yes, since "AI" doesn't exist, maybe we should use more accurate terminology. That would certainly deter those who don't believe in the imaginary grift in "AI".

  • For the grifters who promote the myth of "AI". Let them have their own delusional echo chamber.

  • There is absolutely zero "AI" involved in the development of any of these. They just use computer programs. No actual intelligence apart from humans.

  • I don't have a problem with people talking about different open source technologies.

But I do have a problem with this comm promoting the grift that "AI" exists.

What exactly is this post about? Chat bots? Image/video processing? Content generation?

None of this stuff is "AI". Please don't label it as such. It's grifter nonsense.

  • This is the actual point of the pseudo-scientific crusade against screen time, social media, etc. It's to impose austerity and revoke the freedoms of kids.

  • What's the next biggest tech grift after "AI" and quantum computing? Crypto scams? What else?

  • Is that why the pedoprez's ass is always exploding on camera? Side effect?

  • sentient beings

I don't think the test was ever meant to show something this strong.

  • Any LLM would pass the turing test without much problems.

Lol no. There are soooo many completely terrible bots. The vast majority.

  • More bullshit grifting from state propagandists.

This kind of phony science is not helping.

  • Vague meaningless hypothesis -> Vague meaningless result

Over the last two years, we've watched gutless leaders go groveling to the White House with gilded gifts to appease our authoritarian overlord. Now Karen Bass is part of that club.
