There were shadowy conspiracists lurking in the dark alleys of Washington, and hiding from the glaring sun in the High Desert of California, but they were laughably easy prey when the Martian lizard people, the subterranean Vril-empowered mole-men, and the globalist pedophile Commies did show up.

  • Is there a FUN distro?I used to love Slackware, cause it was completely different from all modern distros and I thought it didn't take itself too seriously.Boy was I wrong when I peaked behind the curtain.

But are there others that are kinda made with a smile and a wink?I was looking at Puppy and RebeccaBlackOS. but am open to suggestions.

  • This is my interpretation: They'd use scraps left over from making clothes, collect them in a bin and have slaves boil and wash them to re-use.

And it was likely a thing for rich people, the poor would just use their left hand and eat with the right.

  • Afaik there's an original source that makes fun of a guy who hung out on the toilet all day, hoping to strike up a conversation that'll get him invited to dinner. That would imply it was a social thing.

  • Current research doesn't support that. Most likely, the sponge sticks were used as a toilet brush, and pieces of cloth were used to wipe.

  • Dark matter is the computer running the simulation. They blacklisted all simulated forces from interacting with it, but one of the devs commented out gravitation for a test and forgot to put it back in.

  • This technology solves every development problem we have had. I can teach you how with my $5000 course.

Yes, I would like to book the $5000 Silverlight course, please.

  • I just don't understand how an app that's primarily a chat can fail at notifications and searching through the chat log.

  • Try searching for something that was said in a chat last month. Then follow what was said in reply.

Now as an admin, try to delete an image someone has shared with the team.Or control who can create new teams.

But my biggest pet peeve, which annoys me literally every day, is how it shows a notification for a new message in your task bar.You click on it, Teams opens how you left it, and you read the message. But the notification stays. To get rid of it, you have to click on a different chat, then back on the one where the message was posted.

  • Next iteration will be "Copilot for Teams".Whenever you get a message, Copilot will auto-send an answer unless you click "no" in a popup without window decorations, showing a timer. On Windows Pro, you can disable this with a registry key, but that resets with feature updates.

  • I don't want to.

  • By "coexist" we mean being installed side by side with barely distinguishable icons, and when you try to log into the wrong one with the wrong type of Microsoft account (where the login mask looks exactly the same), it throws a helpful error message saying "this account does not exist".

  • Teams helps cooperation by uniting everyone in their shared hatred for Teams.

  • Is Microsoft planning to release a viable replacement at some point?

  • Slackware probably still supports Babbage's Difference Engine.

  • By the way, nothing keeps you from converting any 256x256 pixel image into an .ico file and using it for the recycle bin icon.

  • Will Lays corpos kidnap me from my country to drag me in front of a US court?I mean, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me. Just thought Disney would do it first.

  • I feel for you and yours, I was in a similar situation in the past (to the point where I ate only every other day), and I wish you all the best!

  • Kinda hard to calculate the proprietary software since I pay for it yearly

    X/12

  • It counts as a 90s game, but not an early 90s game.Games really started to get much, MUCH better in '94 and '95.
