  • There are more async runtimes, and imo many crates support other runtimes. it's worth getting some experience with it, anyway

  • I recently picked up embedded in Rust and I often stumble upon the pattern of taking buffer references into structures, and I would want to pack the buffer and the struct that uses it together, but I don't want to do self referential magic, so for now I keep buffers passed around everywhere

  • From the comments:

Never shall never stable'd be until

Great Waffle'd work to high Rust hill

    Shall come against it.

  • It feels like it needs to redefine a unit, not a base, same as with degrees that are base 10 but units are different so π is whole. I'm not sure if counting in different units has much use compared to counting in different base from a number theoretical perspective

  • Well, it's not a myth at the 'do it super quickly', usually it also meant that a prototype would then need a lot of polishing and that was even before LLMs 'helped'

  • The scale of neurons is too big for quantum effects, but that's contemporary understanding that may change in the future. We're really far from understanding both what mind is and how to make one

  • Oh, that, well it was definitely a hit

  • Can't find what it was, what did that one end with?

  • That was the joke, that for a backend it should also be backwards, I guess I'm no fun ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯

  • I can tell you what more: the keyboard is upside down in this picture

  • I can't really see, what exactly was violated, from the cited code of conduct

  • This sounds nice but I expect it will not work as good in reality plus there may be more artists than money if we limit it to only those two.

Tax everyone properly and provide basic income sounds like a way to go anyway

  • I would expect this to be instead of building 50MW they build 51MW and split the cost evenly between everyone, thus contributing minimum while paying also minimum

  • Most likely it is an EU right, but violations would require a lot of effort to straighten, so I wouldn't be surrised if they do sometimes close accounts willy-nilly

  • Facebook at least is well known for collecting data on people without Facebook account, and without any consent, so I would say sometimes just not using is already not enough, unfortunately

  • Also if the user is not yet registered, reset password shouldn't work, as there is no password to reset, maybe that's the real error. Or the counter is wrong

  • I wonder if it is scored the same now as it was in 2015. That is because a lot of state exams where I studied are scored by percentile, so that the same result would get different scores in different years

  • Looks like it should improve posture

  • That kinda depends on the circumstances, but I'll try to stop arguing after this reply
