  • This will really help BMW to drive up their sales. I can't believe their sales increased in North America, whereas the sales dropped off the cliff in China. Not just BMW, all traditional car manufacturers got hammered.

  • Like everyone should play by the fucked up rules set by the US? It good that at least one major world power doesn't give a shit about America anymore. The US is forcing all countries to do the same. Europe is trying to break free of the US shackles, China just was first.

    If you see how little ceremony there was for President Pedo compared to let's say the President of Uganda who visited recently - BTW China knows the correct name of each country in Africa unlike the clown show that is the US - you know how little respect they have.

  • What most people don't understand is that the more you push China with tariffs, restrictions and sanctions, the more they will become self reliant - especially when it comes to technology. They will not roll over and curl up. Quite the opposite. Such a smart move by Trump's vasal Mark Rutte to block a commercial company selling to China. Just like with Nexperia. Both backfired hard as China has doubled its efforts to catch up and in case of Nexperia just manufactured these chips locally.

  • Not trying to get too political but Yes, they should not sell to the US.

    The US, together with the Trump vasal Mark Rutte, stopped the sale of ASML chip machines to China. They would be well in their right not to sell to the US.

    Actually if you look at the export figures, China is exporting more after all the tariffs, and bans and restrictions to anywhere else outside of the US. They don't care about the US. Again this is the backup of a plan already implemented.

    That is also why China is heavily investing in Africa. Not so much the Middle East, where the US is aiming for because of oil. China is more interested in rare minerals and Africa could be a place where these could be found.

    So instead of destroying infrastructure in the Middle East, China is building infrastructure in Africa. And creating goodwill by sending a large medical ship for humanitarian purposes. Of course all the thoughts behind this are political

    It is how you spend the budget. And in case of the US, they spend it useless weapons and prototypes and illegal wars.

    Other countries spend it on value for their citizens like infrastructure, like social SERVICES, like healthcare.

  • Maybe because those countries you mentioned spend money on, I don't know, social security, infrastructure, healthcare, green energy. Unlike the US who is pretending to be the world police - miserable failing at that - and just being an agent of chaos.

    All basic services in the US are being stripped, whereas other countries are trying to have policies to benefit their citizens.

  • Actually a lot of the people were locals. There was an article on the Dutch news stating whenever the real Dutch supporters, saw other people wearing orange, the were mostly Americans.

    According to the official figures, just released, out of the 6.5 million visitors, only 1.2 million were international visitors.
