I'm trying to degoogle and the CCC just refuses to setup a peertube instance (or join one) and upload their stuff there (a common theme for opensource and hacking conferences)
Is there a specific reason why they don't do it? FediDay was one of the first conferences I noticed that uploaded all talks to PeerTube. Would be great if more would do it.
I like seeing posts from Mastodon and other microblogs over here. Just keep the first line clean, it's the post title on the threadiverse.
I've started posting on PieFed lately, and with the ability to set hashtags for my posts, I'm already seeing more comments from Mastodon than when I posted from Lemmy before.
I'd like to see a revival of !SimRacing@lemmy.zip, but it seems the mod abandoned it. They joined Lemmy, were active for a couple days and then vanished.
I'm say loops is fedi-washed like a reactionary. There's no other instances, apparently it dies use the activityhub protocol.
Loops is very new. Completely normal for a new service to have one main instance by the devs, you need an instance to test your stuff with real users. The server was open sourced in September and is now at beta6. There are in fact 8 loops servers in operation. This isn't "fedi-washed". It's just very new. Give it some time and please be nice to people who build stuff for the fediverse in their free time. We need them.
