  • I don't know how one would mask it Maybe the crowd is totally overdubbed. I cannot find phone recordings. Are all phone uploads of the event being rejected by YouTube?

  • Yes but if the presenters didn't mention it, I could not detect boos from the video alone.

I have noticed this often when someone gets booed. Pretty obvious when you are there but not on video. As an audio nerd it has me perplexed.

Doesn't say why a vacuum cannot conduct heat though, but it makes sense to me now anyhow. Heat is vibrating molecules so to mitigate the vibration you need adjacent molecules which aren't vibrating as much.

  • Fascinating. Will look more into it to understand.

  • Thanks

  • No cooling capacity? Isn't it the extreme opposite?

  • That's good!!

  • A grumpy curmudgeon like me? You must be crazy!

Groucho Marx - "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member"

  • It is delusional to think the chances are good of a neighbor just looking up the map and joining in. Geeks need to talk to people in real life, especially in their neighborhood. Team up with at least one other person. Use word of mouth. That is effective change.

Unfortunately I live in a remote area with non-tech people who are not conservative enough to be preppers. I will still run it past them though.

  • One in your state? Wouldn't you need one in your line of sight?

  • The map does not say if a node is high unfortunately.

  • In NSW Australia there are hardly any two near each other. What is the point of all these people even buying one if you don't team up with at least one neighbour?

  • Thanks to both of you. Never heard of it before. Might come in handy when I make music. Have a fanless (ie silent) laptop under which I place picnic ice bricks. Controlling my desktop (sunshine) with the laptop (moonlight) might be better.

  • Yes I meant functionally ie I meant remote desktop generically rather than RDP. Can I think of sunshine & moonlight as just another alternative to VNC (except better performer?).

  • When you say stream you mean remote desktop, right?

  • Yes but you need access to the culprit's computer for the lag measurement.

  • It wasn't the lag from the employee's computer to Amazon which was being monitored.

It was the lag from the hacker to the employee. Amazon could not have monitored the hacker's computer.
