Same. I've been using DDG as my default for years, but it's main strength for me is using !g to redo the search after not finding anything good the first time.
I feel like a lot of the specific criticisms you're getting are valid, but I mostly agree with you on the broad strokes. I didn't come here because I hate Reddit, I came here because I hate what Reddit became.* I'm glad you're populating my feed with interesting posts, although I hope you take the feedback here (especially about accreditation) to heart.
*what I actually hate about Reddit is the culture of unaccountable moderators that can do whatever they want with no recourse just because they claimed a subreddit name first, and your quadruple moderation comment also rings true. This is like my fourth instance before finally finding one that doesn't defederate any communities I want to follow.

I feel like every few years there's a new Linux smartphone but the tech doesn't seem to be there yet from a user standpoint. I think the most recent I saw was the Volla Phone Quintus running Ubuntu Touch, and Waydroid seemed like a nightmare.

They're doubting their mission because they've been made persona non grata in the majority of DC. No one will speak to them unless they're being detained. People avoid whatever escalator they're loitering at. Every sign and light post has flyers telling the Guard they're unwanted and to go home.

Kurzgasagt makes a lot of cool science videos, but you can definitely predict when their 'actually we can science our way into only 2c rise in temperature and be alright' or 'Africa is only poor because of overpopulation' videos are going to end in a Gates Foundation disclosure.
This is the thing about LLMs and their users I genuinely don't get. Like, objectively, being able to input plain speech into a computer and get an almost immediate, detailed, 95% accurate answer is incredible. Genuine technological marvel.
But 95% accuracy is functionally useless for all but the most basic, unimportant tasks. Outside of a coding context (a big exception, to be clear), are people really satisfied with that?
I mean, I agree that it doesn't matter. That's why I'm curious as to why you'd take the time to flag it.
