Important note that it’s said to be an acceleration of existing plans, not bending the knee to the orange man. But they’ll let him take credit because Tim Cook is a savvy businessman.
They can't take a stand against orange-bad or he will attack them on social media and his legion of useful idiots will harass them in real life. This is well understood by everyone in the repub party by now.
You have more compassion than I. But my mother has money and also falls for this shit. I'm basically ending my relationship with her for voting for the orange-bad again. Now she gets emails with headlines and article links to all the horrible shit they're doing and me accusing her of being at fault.
I had one lone male and got him a friend around age 3. The new kitty wanted to be friends, but he wouldn't accept him until we moved to a new apartment and neither of them had a claim on the territory. Then they started sleeping together.
Later, I adopted two kittens and at age 1.5 one of them got sick and died, basically like cancer but not actually cancer the vet told me. I got another kitten soon after because the survivor was in crisis and was very needy, she knew what had happened. It took some time for her to accept the kitten, but then she basically raised her. They sleep together and chase and play, but also occasionally squabble the way siblings might.
I don't know what more to suggest. These are the experiences I've had. I hope you're able to glean something useful from them. Ask your vet for tips, too.
You think liberalism is about those topics but it's actually about those topics plus corporate greed. I want the last part to go in the trash. So, Woosh bud. You know less than you think you do about political parties.
Most have been through podcasters mentioning a show they like and talking about it or having guests on from other shows. It took a pretty good amount of time to find a good collection of shows that I genuinely look forward to hearing and weed out the meh content. Here's a list I wrote when someone had a thread asking for recommendations.
Better Offline: Ed Zitron tearing apart how shitty the tech industry has become
QAA Podcast: studies conspiratorial thinking (originally devoted to watching Qanon lunatics), typically hilarious
Accidental Tech Podcast: three third-party Apple developers talking about tech, primarily in the Apple ecosystem
Chapo Traphouse: Leftist politics, typically pretty funny
Noble Blood: history podcast retelling stories about members of nobility in short form
Fall of Civilizations Podcast: history podcast that dives deep into civs like Carthage and the Assyrians, etc
TrueAnon: Leftist politics, deep dives on topics
Last Podcast on the Left (name is a horror film reference): true crime with anecdotes, lots of diversions that might not be for everyone
Alphabet Boys: each season deep dives a taboo action by gov agencies (FBI, ATF, etc)
Song Exploder: deep dives on the writing and recording of songs with the musicians behind them
What Went Wrong: deep dives on movie productions
Behind the Bastards: deep dives on terrible people throughout history, lots of diversions that might not be for everyone
Grumpy Old Geeks: tech and nerd news (including sci-fi media) from two cynical guys who have been in the biz for years, typically funny
With interest.
