  • Omg, that's terrible and really funny. My cat became afraid of her tail when she was ~7yo. It was never a problem, then suddenly she was terrified of it. She got better, but only to the point that she swats it because she doesn't realize it's attached to her butt.

  • Well played, Atticus. Made me laugh.

  • This would work.

  • I solved this by getting into a relationship with someone who genuinely loves to cook for others. I felt super guilty about it for a while but eventually got over it.

  • They broadly believe it. They just have selective memory.

  • Adopt them together so neither has a claim on the home. Don’t let them out while traveling. They’ll cry and break your heart. Prioritize their safety. Separate containers. You can’t solve a fight with only one. Endure the heartbreak because that’s better than a problem. Get them tagged / chipped. Better than losing one forever. Happy catting!

  • Poor widdle guy got his ego bruised. Let’s make him some chicken soup.

  • I will continue to download all my videos to avoid ads. When they break the tools in such a way that this is no longer possible, I will stop watching videos from YouTube and seek entertainment elsewhere.

  • That's hilarious.

  • Evangelicals aren’t the least bit unhinged. They only believe a book of tall tales is literal history. /s

I remember the Time or Newsweek magazine cover that was a mugshot of an abortion doctor-murderer. He was smiling, happy as can be. I tried to look it up, but I’m too lazy to keep trying after five minutes without finding it. It was truly sickening. I think the was around late-90s or early-2000s if that rings a bell.

  • No, I was afraid it would be an extremist Leftist. We have no fear of Dems doing anything extreme. They are centrists through and through.

  • Leaving Las Vegas. It's beautiful and heartbreaking.

  • An individual who thinks and acts rationally and who doesn't try to manipulate others.

  • I saw the headline and feared I would find out that an extremist from our side was targeting repubs. Nope. Senator John Hoffman was a Dem (not my side, I’m a Leftist). I’m relieved that it appears to be a rightwing nut at this point. Doesn’t make it ok. But makes it not a target for the orange bad to attack. He’ll still use it, but can’t market it the way he would if it was his side getting targeted.

  • People who like this might enjoy the newsletter and podcast of the Friendly Atheist. Also, check the American Hysteria episodes about Chick Tracts for some unhinged christian cartoons. I'm not affiliated, just a podcast nerd.

  • Let Israel fight their own war. They can't do shit without our backing. I don't care if they survive. They are genocidal maniacs and I want to see them put in their place. Of course, that's not the opinion of our "leaders." Sigh.

  • It’s gonna be an interesting weekend.

  • Sounds like you're describing fast food rather than restaurants. Going out to eat, for me, is going to a restaurant. I don't consider that super wasteful. Restaurants use washable plates and silverware. The travel with the vehicle is wasteful. But it's not especially wasteful.

Yes. Fast food is super wasteful. Especially if you're in a region that still uses styrofoam. But it's probably less wasteful than it was when any of us were children.

  • My dad didn't want pets when I was a kid. He was the only person the cat would lie on top of on the sofa when watching tv. Kitty owned him.
