  • The best thing we can do is talk about it unrelentingly. Every question at press conferences should center around their friendship and weird letters to each other. Make him so mad that he has a stroke.

  • Even though this dude was 80y old, that won't stop far-right conspiracy theorists from running with this. I think most will be sane enough to point out his age, but you know there will be those on the fringe of the fringe who see something suspicious about it. Personally, I look forward to seeing the melted explanations they come up with.

  • IT guy here:

If I ask you if you turned it off and back on and you say yes, I tend to believe you. But if I look and I see that the uptime for the computer proves that you lied, this is the look I give you. And then I'll reboot and there's a good chance that the problem will be solved.

I'll have enough grace to say that maybe we had different ways of describing what you intended to do when "rebooting," but inside I know that you lied to me because you believe that IT people recommend this step because you think we're lazy and trying to make you go away. No. We suggest it because it often works. And if you'd try it before you called the helpline, that'd cut our calls in half.

  • Well it’s only socialism when you give money to brown people.

You left out unwed mothers, people with disabilities, and anyone else who isn't a racist, fascist, or otherwise piece of shit. It's only socialism when society deems you to be deserving of help. When you're just an asshole, it's crowdfunding against the woke mind virus.

It's a subtle difference that these cretins couldn't possibly comprehend because there is no distinction (that it's actually socialism) because they're as dumb as a rock. But try explaining that to them and watch them sputter about cancel culture.

  • "Excuse me, but you didn't allow this sales person to complete their pitch. We're taking you to jail."

  • I mean, let's just turn on all the lights, crank our ovens with the door open, and crank the heat / ac with all the windows open. Might as go all in on our inevitable future. /s

  • Last week: "We need to release the files."

This week: "Dear leader said no. I never implied anything different."

  • I watch police bodycam videos on YouTube because they are like an unscripted version of reality tv. The amount of fear in police at the slightest thing going unexpectedly is frightening to me. In this case, a slowly moving vehicle was reason enough to shoot repeatedly, holster a gun, and then pull it out and shoot again. There was no indication that the guy had a weapon. But they gotta make sure he's dead and then even more dead just because.

The idea of cops as heroes is a lie. You might see one or two rush into a flaming vehicle to pull someone out after a crash, but that's about it. If they think someone has a gun and a hostage, they'll coordinate for an hour bringing shields and more officers, or maybe SWAT with armored vehicles, while taking cover before anyone makes a move. Kinda like Uvalde: they care much more about protecting themselves than protecting victims.

And I get it. That's instinct. But we shouldn't venerate them as though they all fight off the urge for self-preservation to rescue people. That's incredibly rare.

  • I, for one, feel tremendous empathy for this crone who knew exactly what harm she was voting for because it's really tough being in the spotlight showing that you're a terrible piece of shit. Oh, wait… no I don't.

    She can fuck right off.

  • A true visionary, taken too soon.

  • The trade body called it “illegal circumvention technology”, said 12ft.io has been locked by its web host, and promised to take similar action against other paywall bypassing technologies.

Just because you send bits to my network does not oblige me to render them. That's like saying I broke the law back when I had cable and changed channels during ad breaks. Falls flat on its face.

  • Law enforcement that truly believes they have the law on their side can police out in the open.

  • For once, I hope she's correct.

  • I mean, they could work a summer picking produce and have enough money to buy a house, at least that's what the old man down the street told me. And he owns a house, so I bet he would know.

  • I could explain, but there's a lot of string theory involved and I only have limited time.

  • Remember when dems were wringing their hands about prosecuting Trump because that’d invite tit-for-tat retribution? some_guy remembers.

  • Stars have only existed for about fifty years. Duh.

  • FUTURE PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I don’t want to be like Congressman Foley, with, you know, 12-year-olds.

Ok, so thirteen and above. Now we know.

  • We're never going to be able to trust anything ever again. Especially because conservatives choose to accept anything that validates what they want to believe over things that can be verified. Critical thinking is not their strong suit. And they will abuse these platforms like a mofo.
