  • Yes. I don't even think of it as hardcore really, just that lemmy is good enough for my use case. If I don't find something I want in the fediverse, I'll create/post it myself.

    *I'll also read a relevant thread on reddit, but I use the libredirect plugin so I always view through a front end (that I also connect to through a vpn).

  • Killzone. I really, really loved the story and level design, but everything was shit. Someone pointed it out to me and I suddenly seen everything wrong with the game hahha.

    There was this one glitch where the first shot from the Helghast rifle was 100% accurate which I used and abused to absolutely destroy people in multiplayer games.

  • Sorry you're experiencing that. I think it would have a lot to do with your area; I live on an island which is basically hippie central for my province and although there are some bite-your-head-off-leopards-ate-my-face-shit-head-old-people, they are somewhat few (but more then one would expect). Most of the old people I've met have been pretty chill, perhaps it's the legacy of secret cannabis farms.

    To me, from what little you've said it seems you need to kick people out of your life. I haven't spoken to my parents in about 4 months because the veneer of kindness was wearing thin and aggravating me.

  • Yes, during the first few months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine there was an airstrike on a school gymnasium that was serving as a muster point for volunteer troops. One (likely more) of the people posted a tik-tok of the gym and even hashtagged it so it was easily found and geolocated.

  • I've had bad experiences with pine pellets, if for whatever reason you're unable to change it in time it will go mouldy and irritate your throat and eyes. I ended up going with purinas "tidy cats", the unscented version. It works the same as clay litter, but there's not as much dust (and you don't have to power lift it). For food I always get Acana; it's more expensive but I think it's a lot healthier for them just by reading the ingredient list and I rationalize the extra cost by saving on vet visits. Also it makes their coats super pretty looking. :3

    *For litter boxes we got these large plastic tubs and some foam mats that were specially made to collect fallen litter from amazon. One of my cats aggressively buried her poop and would get litter all over the place, so this set up helped a bit with the mess haha.
