The first name I write down is my own. For I know what I will do with it, and I know that while I would start with the notion of doing only what i feel must I know i will grow corrupt. On the first page I will write detailed instructions disposing of this book, and then I will sign it, knowing I have literally signed my own death warrant, hoping that my will would be carried out that the book would be encased in a block of cement and buried deep.
Then I will start writing names.
And keep writing names.
Until that last day.
There are many in this world I would see removed from it For my niece's sake. For all our sakes...
There would be no statements. No declarations. There would simply be. Murder, for that is what this is. me deciding that others should be denied their lives. Maybe the world improves with them removed from it. Hard to say. I clearly believe so given what I would be doing.
Seen this since the 90's and the start of Eternal September. 'How dare we change or help these constant Lusers show up. How DARE we allow for differing opinions. Our way is the ONLY right way! Why should we allow this CANCER to infect us?'
To further emphasize that point: I'm part of a tilde community. I have been working on a migration document highlighting services and other options for social media migrants. The local newsgroup is sparcely populated. So the one technical guy that's a frequent poster had this to say:

Sending people from twitXter or FB to Mastodon does not help them
evolve. It just gives addicts a supposedly more free variant of their
drug instead of getting them away from it.

The isolationists are wrong, and to me would rather watch the world burn for the sake of being proven right in their isolation than to help people.
Oh I'm not saying the app shouldn't require all the scrutany, but. Stones. Glass house. If DOGE were actually there to do their stated goal they'd have sent accountants in, not programmers demanding write access.

Needless to say I disagree with his assertion, if for no other reason than not everyone wants to flee back to the 90's in terms of how to social/internet
