  • Pretty much. It's a total failure for US military power.

  • They don't get harvested then, but I think stockpiles will be empty then or sooner

  • It's possible for us all to lose. Good chance of a famine six months from now because so much of the northern hemisphere couldn't get fertilizer during planting season and the US decided to make food for cows and cars instead of for people

  • They appear to have been using electric shocks to get the elephant to go where they wanted.

  • He was up until he started doing things to wreck the long-term economic growth of the US

  • They had a huge security zone around the game to prevent that

  • The immunity isn't some absolute rule; I don't seriously expect that the Republicans on the court think it applies to Democrats.

  • Yeah. They don't have authority to end the contract. Local officials can do things to interfere with utility hookups.

    But sending in the local police to attack protesters and the press is just an asshole move

  • Funding and performing a large chunk of the world's scientific research is not abusive, and with no other country stepping up at the needed scale, it's going to leave everyone worse off.

    Same thing locally where I am. Signal chats are active, but we mostly respond to local cops doing something dumb and being mistaken for ICE

    Several places have very active protests in support of the concentration camp hunger strikes too

  • They were showing up in large numbers before people were murdered for it. The murders just got your attention.

  • I don't think they're limiting it to those platforms. It's just that they're big so people are talking about them
