  • As per the New York City charter, New York State Governor Hochul can remove the Mayor of New York City at any time she chooses. God only knows after he accepted the corrupt Quid Pro Quo with the DOJ why she hasn't yet. Last asked she said : "I have to think about it". As Democrats and Americans we're still nowhere. We haven't even gotten up off the mat yet, while it all continue to burn.

  • at first i was again it, but there's no action on mastodn, it's a very slow closed system, and quote toots might open it up

  • whomp whomp whomp

  • I don't use my phone to browse if I'm in the office or the house, I use my PC web browser, logging into loos (oh man i wish i could put those two accent marks over o's), and i'm just met with my own upload page as the splash page, no place to see "trending" or "new" no way to browse creators, just a whole lotta nuthin, and so it much like fredo is dead to me and will remain that way

  • Once the Executive Branch feels as if they can be held in Contempt by the Judicial Branch and continue to act for the nation, all bets are off, and we are no longer functioning as a Constitutional Democracy. There's no law that matters, as it's no long bound by anyone able to enforce it. The very position of President no longer carries any meaning, neither does that of Congress, or The Supreme Court. When one side of the Triangle breaks, it all falls.

  • republicans are in the process of dismantling the entire democratic system of checks and balances. don't ever let anyone tell you both sides are the same.

  • bullshit. republicans are burning it all down. fuck this.

  • Trump did get re-elected, and he's going to do comparable damage to the whole world, so, there's that

  • listen, there no where that makes sens to put that shit, do you take up valuable fridge space where eggs and butter go, do you hide them in a drawer, who knows, or parents never prepared us for this, we do our best

  • hahahaha, good luck, let us know if you figure it out. also let us know if you're able to actual block other users from interacting with your content.

  • look around you zorque, it's working

  • i mean sure, they can do that, it's a non action, but you mean in protest, because it's not going to change the outcome, thereby giving up any leverage they might have in negotiating anythign at all with republicans. ok, fair enough, fine, but it's not a job to perform, it's a job not to perform. ok.

  • What do you expect Democrats to do without a Constitutional majority in either House of Congress, and in none of the 3 Branches? They have no power. Young Democrats didn't vote. Young Republicans, and more Arab and Latino Americans voted for Donald Trump than have ever voted for any Republican candidate before in history. Do you think they can chant some incantations over sage? What job you do imaging Democrats in government can perform without the Constitutional power to perform them?

  • Mastodon: When you block someone they no longer can interact with you or your content Lemmy: When you "block" someone they can mine your content forever

  • Tens of millions of real live human beings who depended on the $40 Billion in USAID, for safe food, clean water, and medications have already started dying, literally all around the world. Elon Musk and his Nazi twinks were granted full access to the US Treasury where he surely installed backdoors, that will never fully be able to be cleaned without a complete rewrite of the software. I could not give a fuck what anyone calls the fuck gulf of mexico at the moment.

  • I came here to say. If so this is huge.

  • no, and it cut down on the airflow to my processor

  • that's crazy talk, next you'll be telling us we should be able to actually block people from seeing and interacting with our posts

  • No, Verizon does not own Tumblr. Verizon sold Tumblr to Automattic, the owner of WordPress.com, in August 2019
