  • Castle Wolfenstein, it took 2D and made it POV 3D, really can't explain how much of a reality changer that was at the time, and since. Only had to wait an hour for the 1MB file to download over a 24.4k Modem from a pirate BBS, but then you were fucking golden.

  • we knew these people were garbage for a very long time now, and yet, with everything, they still put their guy back into a position to destroy us all. these "slams" are a whole lot less entertaining, now that they're literally tea bagging us, all the time, at will, and the true fuckery hasn't even begun in earnest yet

  • superb owl

  • I've tried the old spring one's too, and the spring quality determines the accuracy, but again, not over time. Turns out the Inkbirds are equally as accurate as the Protmex showed, all the TermoPro's were junk, and after a brief chat with ThermoPro customer service they refunded my entire purchased which was over 6 months ago, so that was nice. I think my body has been conditioned by bad Hygrometers to misjudge waht 40% rh should feel like, but the inkbirds were a good find, am gonna keep the protmex to do spotchecks on the inkbirds every nowa and again

  • Anyone laughing at Elon Musk, now that he bought his way into the upper echelons of the United States Government about about to do some real damage to the wellbeing of hundreds of millions of American citizens, really hasn't been paying attention or their sense of humor is one that I don't understand

  • she's not getting my vote again, i was willing to go with her on this last ride, because she kept telling me it was close in every swing state, then she lost them all

  • Great, another useless figurehead. Kamala Harris took the Democratic nomination, and lost every single swing state, while her team fundraised telling us all she was going to win. She's never getting my vote again.

  • next four years? i'm pretty sure with the damage trump and his minions in, let me get this right, The Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of the United States Government squarely in control of Republicans, whatever we have four years from now, will in no way resemble what we've all grown up with and been taught about what America is, or was. what happened on November 5th is nothing short of destruction. so many people are about to die in so many placed by domestic and foreign, most will act shocked. i watched a million americans die from a purposefully inept and sandbagged global pandemic response, and that was before trump knew where all the buttons and levers are.

  • Seems that any day that ended in a y, demoralized the DOJ with as much gusto as they seemed to lack actually charging and prosecuting, always errering on the side of caution, allowing the fascist criminal to take control of the United States government, well, as lock as they didn't stick their necks out, they'll still lose their jobs, to people who will destroy the entire rule of law. Good work, folks, excellent public service.

  • yep

  • "It is now run and predominantly owned by chief executive Jay Graber as a US public benefit corporation."

It's that predominantly that's the tell. The Guardian has no more idea who owns which and how many shares as anyone else, because it's a privately held corporation. Yeah, i'm pretty sure, and when they go public, we'll all be positive of it. If Dorsey wasn't the largest shareholder, they would have been feeding THAT out to the press, instead of the incessant every present PR line "stepped down from the board" and "closed his account" lol

jack dorsey is the largest shareholder in bluesky because he founded it and has never transferred or given up his shares in it

  • that's right, you absolutely are having a hard time finding ANYTHING at all about the ownership of BLUESKY, only that it was incorporated. zero on it's shareholders, zero on Dorsey's transfer of private stock/equity. absolutely nothing at all.

  • Remember kids, Jack Dorsey still owns BLUESKY, and if anyone is trying to tell you he doesn't, they're lying.

Dorsey is THE founder of BLUESKY, and is it's largest shareholder, even though he is no longer on the board, and went through the theater of closing his BLUESKY account, he will have the say in pretty much everything, not the least of which, which fascist Elon Musk clone, BLUESKY is sold to, when of course it eventually it will be.

    Fool me once.

  • After this thread the other day I bought some Inkbird's on sale from Amazon to test them out, have had some ThermoPro TP39 around (and outside) of the house, and one of the Inkbirds was about 5% above on a salt test in a bag, out of the bag, they are all, seemingly reading LOW. Little sick of this, so I bought a Protmex HT607 to test out to see if my feeling is right, that the only one of the hygrometers in the photo that's near correct (3%+/-) is the center ThermoPro. If my feeling is right, I'm going to return all the Inkbirds, and give ThermoPro some shit, make a warranty claim, where I'm sure they'll send me 3 more junk hygormeters. I'm not prepared to spend $800 on a scientific hygrometer that can only do push button spot readings, can continue to be amazed that the market hasn't produced an ADJUSTABLE always on moisture/humidity monitor. It's pretty maddening.
