  • Looks interesting ty!

  • Me and about a dozen other people thought John Carter was great. To me, it was just a fun sci-fi/fantasy movie. Never undestood the hate.

  • I haven't thought about ISDN in ages. IIRC I had to get a serial expansion card with a faster UART to get the benefit, which was...eh, dubious. Twice nothing is still nothing LMAO.

  • My state voted Trump 2-to-1. This year I took the money I normally give to the local food bank and gave half to Elevated Access and half to local Pride.

  • Agree 100%. Bazzite is what you want if you're gaming or you need the nvidia proprietary driver.

  • Try Silverblue or Kinoite. They're designed such that if you find an update breaks something, you can literally revert to the version before that update with a reboot. Application distribution through flatpaks offers pre-configured environments so it's not a pain to get stuff running. Toolbox lets you dick around in isolation from the system. You'd really have to go out of your way to break something. Great stuff.

  • The sequence at the end of the Six Feet Under finale set to Sia's Breathe Me absolutely gutted 2005 me.

When Claire is driving away and sees Nate in the rear view 😭

  • First word: Oh Second word: no Third word: not Fourth word: again

Actually I've had a pretty good day. Woke up early, made a mocha latte, got caught up for work, and now I've spent all afternoon getting high and playing video games.

  • Went camping with some friends. We were all underage. Guy at the 7-11 sold us wine coolers. I vividly remember dude saying "You men have a good evening." 😆

Experience was...ok? Drank just enough to get a slight buzz.

We were all good kids. We enjoyed responsibly.

  • Well, honestly you're not wrong.

  • Haha - right.

  • They made a pretty good comic-accurate show about a big green lady and a few million extremely online teen boys had their penises fall off. RIP.

  • My EVGA GTX 1080 Ti was lit up on the back. RIP EVGA as a board partner. 😢

  • Agreed on your assessment. I'm beginning to suspect I did all the Linux stuff right but screwed up on the Windows side. Copying over a new vhdx right now. ⏳

No grub involved in this scenario. Machine being virtualized is Windows only.

  • Ty for response! Error is BdsDxe: failed to load Boot0001 etc. I do have TPM hardware on the host. See pic below.

Good suggestion on repair. Had to do that one time when virtualizing a Win8.1 box back in the day, though I recall I at least got a Windows logo at boot on that occasion.

  • A few years ago a local, third competitor did an "edge build" in our area and dissatisfied with the other choices, we signed up immediately. A botched install by one of the other two led to a cable cut earlier this year. Our guys came out the same day and fixed us up. Physical guys had the new cable buried by the end of the week. They even brought a machine to bury the new waveguide at the regulation depth. Amazing how competition breeds customer satisfaction.

  • Bailey > Jennifer

  • I sure hope not. Building a new PC this weekend.

  • Ty! I'll do some research in that direction.
