  • I think you're on the right track. You could say the note was for cell phone thieves or something and you didn't expect the police to use it. Plausible deniability.

  • I don't know if it would win or not. But the cops could argue that you put that piece of paper as a premeditated trap designed to wipe evidence and interfere with their investigation, if they caught you. Especially if you wrote any of that down and they found it. Honestly I'm not sure what the jury would agree with in this country.

  • If they found a duress password in his wallet, and used it, they would 100% prosecute for that.

  • Also a Linux for fascists

  • The em dashes?

Edit: very clear with the second response

  • Is it something that is taught and learned, or just happens?

  • What can you infer about that?

  • You right, autocorrect

  • Lots of people. Most people, I'd say

  • It is annoying not but turns out it's ideologically motivated

  • I don't think that's a hipaa violation, but I'm no expert.

EMTs, etc, do that too. You'd go crazy if you couldn't.

  • I'm not sure how you're getting all that from sharing my experience that adding printers in windows is harder than in Linux, in my experience.

There are lots of examples where windows is way easier -- music production comes to mind as stupidly difficult in Linux compared to windows.

Printing is simply a case where Linux wins hands down, and has for years.

  • Piggyback to share what I've tried:

YouTube plugin for Kodi on rpi 4B - great when it worked, often had breaking bugs for a long time (cat and mouse development), somewhat difficult to keep up to date. Had to manually install releases from github.

"Play on Kodi" add on, which uses ytdlp to download and send the video. Fiddly, could never get it to work seamlessly or smoothly.

YouTube in firefox on RaspberryOS, with keyboard and mouse: firefox was too heavy for the rpi to work consistently.

I eventually bought one of those beelink mini pcs, which has enough power to run Firefox, to watch YouTube. It doesn't have CEC built in, which is a huge downgrade, but the YouTube experience is great, and it can easily watch videos on other Web sites too.

  • Rpi has a CEC adaptor built in (pulse 8). It is very convenient.

  • Thanks! I never knew it had a longer official name.

  • Where will i go for vi's videos? Are they on the Internet Archive?

  • Have you heard of implication? Here are two definitions of "imply", from https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/imply:

    transitive verb

    1

    : to express indirectly

    Her remarks implied a threat.

The news report seems to imply his death was not an accident.

    2

: to involve or indicate by inference, association, or necessary consequence rather than by direct statement

    rights imply obligations

  • Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup

Such a funny juxtaposition from the Beatles.

The best version is "Across the Universe" from Let it Be... Naked

  • I'm not here; this isn't happening 🎵

Relatable lines from Thom Yorke in Radiohead's "How to disappear completely" off of Kid A.

    Based on a true story.
