  • EV owners that charge at home, (and who wouldn’t do that), currently pay no road taxes because they buy no or very little “fuel”.

They pay no road tax for fuel but they do pay road taxes elsewhere. Roads are not funded solely on fuel taxes.

  • I wish I could disappear for 3 months and not lose my job.

  • What do you call a dog with no legs?

You don't call him, you go get him.

  • Verily. And that past nastification is what shields you from the brains!

  • Republicans in particular have been cutting back as they didn't want to get yelled at by their constituents for harming them.

  • Climbing is a skill-based sport, and weight really isn't as much of a factor as you think. It's all about the mechanics of body movement and balance. There are people of all shapes and sizes who climb. Likely the biggest issue you'll face is finding shoes your size. The rest is just details.

Unless you're specifically trying to compete, everyone's just doing their own thing. From experience, people at the gym generally want to see each other improve and will cheer each other on.

  • I've never heard of them, but looking it up, it appears Saily is run by the same company as NordVPN, so it's not surprising to hear they do lots of advertising.

  • And how many people live in wealthy neighborhoods compared to poor ones?

  • Ribbon cables with sub-millimeter slots to insert them into

  • Sure, the wires are larger because they needed to be, but they are still functional, which is what matters.

I'd say one of the issues with repairing things these days is that everything is getting smaller and smaller. Where thick gauge wires were required before, now they use much thinner wire. Where thinner wires were used before, printed circuit boards are often used now. New circuit boards are chock full of miniature surface-mount components which are much more difficult to replace compared to the much larger circuit boards of the olden days. Every step of miniaturisation makes repairs require more skill.

  • That's my favorite Hanson song!

  • It's not because it's cheaper, it's because it's harder to repair. They don't want you to be able to repair your stuff, they want you to replace it.

  • Have you tried Maggi seasoning? It's similar to soy sauce, but has a wider flavor profile compared to soy sauce. It's basically a bottle of concentrated MSG with herbal and spiced flavors.

Edit: Actually, I take it back. I just found out that Maggi is owned by Nestlé :(. Stay away.

  • They'd likely just rubber stamp an exemption and let them do what they want.

  • I dont know if its the exact same as consumer grade glue, but it`s definitely CA glue.

  • Superglue is used in all kinds of stuff that we come into contact with every day. Dentists and orthodontists even use it inside our mouths.
