  • There's a package called molly-guard which will check to see if you are connected via ssh when you try to shut it down. If you are, it will ask you for the hostname of the system to make sure you're shutting down the right one.

Very usefull program to just throw onto servers.

  • So... How would a requirement to testify be enforced? If witnesses were thrown in jail for not testifying, couldn't cops use that to threaten a "witness" into making a false statement?

How would you tell a witness who was hiding something from a witness who didn't see anything?

Wierd how the fact that a group of people don't see the world as you do makes then somehow inferior and deficient, huh?

  • Doomscrolling.

    Very badly.

  • Windows.

I did an internship where my main system was Linux, but it was in a VM on one monitor with the windows host on another for using Windows apps.

  • TBF, they could probably make the "releases" page more prominent rather than having it buried in all the "code" stuff.

  • Looks like I've got work to do to bring those numbers up then.

  • If Github isn't used for source control, why on earth is it the only auth provider?

Why has crates.io given Microsoft the ability to control who can and cannot publish Rust code?

Namespacing is whatever, but IMO the real issue is the disproportionate and unnecessary amount of power given to a company known for pushing monopolies.
